Travel with Advance Parole (success story)
So after visa bulletin for F2A category is been stuck for months and I have my advance parole in hand I chose to go on vacation to Europe rather than waiting the visa bulletin is being current for my PD (April 2022). I tried to expedite my case several times but all the things I can get is only my advance parole instead of my greencard. Before leaving the US I already make sure with my local congressman and USCIS field office at federal building that my case is ok to prevent any difficulties while trying to re-enter, the good news is during the process I found out from USCIS agent that my case is actually ready to proceed but it’s stuck just because of the sake of the visa bulletin is no longer current. I went to Europe trip for 8 days with my PR husband and citizen baby, at the immigration entry point the staff is super nice, he asked us how’s our trip and how many days it was, he also welcoming our baby with smile and talk with polite with me that I need to follow him to the secondary inspection at CBP office. He told me he will tell the staff inside to make it easy for me since I am with my baby and he really did. I come inside with zero worries and everything went smooth. It’s really super fast, the police inside not even makes me sit down for the interrogation and just call my name to take my passport and my parole document which already stamped. I ask “just it?” and he said “yes, welcome back” 😊
The stamp is described my status is on AOS and they also put the validity of my advance parole. I know it’s going to be easy but I didn’t expect the staff will super kind and fast as well, lol!
I hope this post would bring you guys who plans to travel a peace of mind and have a safe flight!
can I applied for citizenship right after I completed probation?
hi, my father were arrested for DWI back in 2020. But after seeing the judge, it reduced to reckless driving. He had 12 months probation, 6 months ignition, 6 months license suspended, and have to completed course, class. He had completed the probation on Sept,2022. I did not know anything about 3-5 years rules after probation so I applied for his citizenship( N-400 ) on April,2023. He went to interview on Oct,2023. My father passed the exam but were asked for RFE( the officer asked for the outcome of the probation which I did not submitted and could not find it at the court since this is unsupervised probation so the court doesn’t have the certificated that I had completed it). Althought, I was able to asked for a letter which is where he took his class. On the letter, the director said that my father had completed the 12 months probation and paid all the fine and certify it. I submitted it on the following day and had not received anything back yet. Had anyone been through this, had anyone applied right after probation like my father because a lawyer told me that I should’ve wait 5 years after probation. Is this true?
Changing Biometrics Schedule
Hi all,
I received my 485 notice that my fingerprint fee was received on Oct 26. Assuming my fingerprint could happen anytime soon, unfortunately I have a flight to travel for a 1-week vacation in about 10 days.
Did anyone have a similar issue when you wanted to take the fingerprint at an earlier date than noticed such as walk-in? I don’t want to delay the biometrics appointment, but at the same time, a quick round trip flight just for this 10-min fingerprint is too time consuming and expensive!
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Checking I-485 status everyday!!(L1A to EB1C)
Filed concurrently 140(PP) and 485(with 765) back in June. 140 was approved in Sep after 1 RFE and got my EAD in Sep.
I recently see many cases with 485 approved within 3-6 months so I can’t wait to get mine!! hopefully within 2023 so that I do not need to extend my current L1A next summer.
Fingers crossed for everyone waiting!
