Waiting on travel, work authorization and green card at the moment. I really don’t want to get in the habit of checking over and over in hopes something will change when it could be months.

I just received my interview notice by mail today, and my interview has been scheduled in Kentucky on 01/18/2024
We live at New Jersey and we never move or live outside New Jersey.
I just completely fail to understand why they would schedule our interview in Kentucky, when we have never lived there. Has this ever happened to anyone. Please I need help.
