interview rescheduled by officer
My interview was today in NYC . After waiting 2 hours finally our turn came but right after we went inside the room . He said unfortunately he cannot do our interview today . Our documents was not there . He said our documents maybe in transit or in different field office . So we left without interview . he said they will reschedule it but doesn’t guarantee that it will be soon . I never heard something like this . is this normal , ?

It's a bit unfair and sad to see that those from 2025 are moving faster. My husband wants to contact Congress. Do you think this is a good idea? My timeline, and nothing has changed for almost 8 months. We've heard news from many acquaintances who started their processes this year, 2025, and already have interviews. My process has been stalled since I sent the evidence, which only took me 5 days to search.

Has anyone experienced a 2nd interview?
Has anyone experienced a second interview? I had one back in 2022. After I submitted my medical RFE, the status changed from “RFE Received” to “Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for an Interview.” The case was at the National Benefits Center (NBC) and now is at local FO. PD 03/21 - Never changed employer -
congressman
I contacted my congressman in 6/4/25 and have yet to hear back from them or an update on your case that we filled over two yrs ago. my lawyer says there is not we can do but sit and wait. I’m a US citizen who petitioned for my husband who over stayed a work visa. we never been married before we have no criminal record my lawyer said it would take 6mnths to a year idk what the hold up is !!!!! anybody in the same situation?
I started on September 18, 2023 as f2 A and on June 6, 2024 my case was changed to IR1 \CR1 and the case has not been approved yet? And how long will it take please, is anyone in this situation????

My I-485 hasn't made any progress since it was submitted.
I filed the I-140 with premium processing, and it was approved after 45 days. However, it's now been 60 days since my I-485 was received, and there has still been no update—not even a fingerprint appointment.
Is there anyone else in a similar situation?

change of address
hello all, I had my green card interview a month ago and I am waiting for my decision. my lease is expiring soon at our current apartment community. I really don’t want to extend the lease as we don’t like it here and would like to move to a new home. does change of address effects the process or is it not that significant.

Just got approval today.
Cased was moved to Non local FO (San Bernardino) on 03/03/2025.
Both me and my dependent were approved today.
Very grateful to this community for being resourceful.

Hello Family, so I received the RFE letter, and as promised, i am letting you know what they are needing, however it’s strange that are requesting what I already submitted lol
They are needing* : Evidence of Abuser’s status,as they are unable to determine the immigration /citizenship, I know I included his birth certificate as he is a citizen.
*Good Faith Marriage (we have daughter together)
*Good Moral Character
*Evidence of Battery and /or Extreme Cruelty
*Evidence of shared residency(I submitted lease agreements, pictures of our family, etc)
I already submitted this, I can’t believe these people are requesting after almost 4 years, but my lawyers are putting the documents together to respond.

Hello Everyone,
my asylum is approved on June 10th 2024, just out of curiosity I am asking, I have sent my i485 package to uscis on June 12th 2025, reached June 16th 2025( because of weekend delivery took to long), June 17th 2025uscis has charged my credit card. still today I didn’t receive receipt notice. does anyone in the same boat. how many days it take to get a receipt?
