vawa Expedite advice
I want to request advice on expediting my VAWA case. I have derivative children in my home country, but I do not have direct access to them because their father is mistreating them. I am worried for their safety and wellbeing. Has anyone here gone through an expedite request in a similar situation, and what evidence did you submit to USCIS?
Is there any news from USCIS about faster processing times? I-140 EB2-NIW
2025 USCIS Update: Green Cards Approved in Half the Time!
Breaking news for green card applicants! USCIS has unveiled a major 2025 policy change that could slash approval times to just 6 months. For decades, applicants faced long waits, stressful interviews, and endless paperwork.
Now, for straightforward, fully documented cases, the mandatory interview may be waived. This means faster approvals, shorter backlogs, and more time for USCIS to focus on complex applications.
Can anyone explain clearly? is there any benefits for EB2-NIW applicants?

F3 Category – Any approvals for PD November 2022?
Hi everyone,
I’m under the F3 category from Nigeria (Married Son/Daughter of a U.S. Citizen) with a priority date of November 2022. I just want to know if anyone with the same or close PD has had their petition approved yet.
Please share your timeline or update. it’ll really help me understand how the process is moving.
Thanks in advance!
i485 approved
Here to encourage anyone going through this process. Finally got approved after a failed marriage, i485 and i130 denial, tons of abuse and lots of money lost in the process. After i485 denial, Applied for vawa and i485 Sept 2021. Received only one Prima Facie the entire time. Everything looked obscured and blurry with no sign of light at the end of the tunnel. Lawyer was MIA for about two years after I got my first EAD. No response to calls, text or emails. Sometimes the depression from the uncertainty of how the case will turn out can be as bad or worse than the marriage abuse itself. Many times I felt like leaving and starting all over somewhere else. Complications everywhere. For some reasons, i485 got moved to a whole different state after i360 approval. I was scared, confused with everything going on and people getting taken during interviews. Was actually slightly prepared for the worst. But God did it. Got called for interview and everything was just like a dream. My lawyer only showed up five minutes before I got called in for the interview, no time to go over the case. I went to the interview with 3 big binders of documents as my case was extremely complicated and I needed anything and everything I can use to support my story. Officer looked at my big files and shook his head. officer was looking stoic, didn’t even look me in the face, his demeanor gave me chills, I gave the interview date as my date of birth smh. At the end of the day, he asked only i485 questions. Case was approved on the spot. Officer didn’t even smile or look me in the face when he told me case was approved. Still feeling like a dream. I only wish my mom is alive to witness this, she passed during the whole journey.
I know this whole thing is complex and no one can say exactly what gives you good chances of approval, but nothing is too big for God.
An advise I can give is to be as law abiding as you can, and keep your head down. This whole journey has a way of drawing you closer to God or whatever you believe in.
Thank you to everyone on this platform, it’s been really helpful. I pray everyone waiting have a good story to tell and it’ll all be worth it.
two or more status change updates after submitting an RFE for the i-693 and tax return?
Has anyone else gotten two or more status change updates after submitting an RFE for the i-693? They first marked it received on 9/25/2025 @ 5:00 pm, and today 10/7/2023 @ 12:21 pm..
Curious as to why it would change from the initial receipt date/time? The status message itself is still the same.
does anyone knows the theory behind that green check mark? I look at it as green light (good to proceed for a favorable outcome ) base on green, red light traffic light theory. When the send RFE usually you see red icon and processing stop until RFE receives lol. have anyone had unfavorable decision after those dates discrepancies in their RFE responses before ? Uscis is making us do our forensic analytics hence giving people depression and anxiety with different types of notifications that usually means nothing or something no one knows actually
I am truly hoping this means there’s some action going on and that I will hear some good news next week
485J $2500+ fedex $100????!
Hello,
The company that sponsored my EB3 unskilled position has closed down, so I had to change jobs. My priority date is September 21, 2021, so if the visa bulletin moves forward just two more months, it will become current. I’ve already found a new employer, but the attorney (based in LA) said that while the I-485J filing fee is currently free, their legal fee is $2,500.
In addition, the FedEx fee used to be $50 until the end of last December, then it increased to $80 this June (for sending an RFE), and now they’re asking for $100 this time. It feels like the attorney’s fee might be a bit excessive, so I wanted to ask if you know what the typical fee range is.
Would it be appropriate to ask for a fee adjustment? If so, I’d really appreciate any ideas on how to persuade them or what kind of reasoning might sound convincing.
