IR-1 visa applicant entering US for the first time
I'll be travelling to the US for the first time in 2 days on my IR-1 visa which has been stamped by US embassy (Dublin).
What all documents does the immigration officer ask when I arrived at the United States?
Do I need to carry anything specifically?
I've paid the green card fee ($220), should | print the receipt for records?
Any tips would be helpful.
They sent fresh biometric notice for my son and very next day they approved his case.
They sent a fresh biometric notice for my son few days back who turned 14 last month. A day after receiving the biometric request, they approved my son’s I-485. I am yet to go for the biometric but before that they approved my son’s I-485. This is so confusing. Anyone experienced something like this by any chance?
Can I expedite my case?
Greetings everyone , I have a question. I was involved in an accident last year. Since then, I've been undergoing physical therapy, chiropractic and have scheduled for shoulder surgery due to a tear and fluid buildup in my shoulder. Also i got L5 nerve damage. Can I ask USCIS to expedite my VAWA case for a humanitarian basis based on that? I asked same question to my lawyer her response is, ‘no not likely because you are in the US and are getting treatment - what would be the reason to expedite? However, I witnessed several individuals expediting their case due to an incurable illness and a surgical procedure. Could someone please shed some light on this for me, please.
