Selective Service N-400
Hey guys! I will be applying for my citizenship soon and I just got to know about the selective service election. My lawyer who filed my change of status did not mention anything about it. I did not know anything about it, let alone that it is a requirement for all residents/citizens under 26. Im over 26 now and cannot enroll for it. I’m really worried if this will affect my eligibility to naturalize. I read that if you can prove you did not know anything about it, the officer might accept it. But what documents do I need to prove this? Has anyone had a similar experience??
I-134A and Shifting Host States in Immigration Scenarios
Have any of you encountered this situation: if someone applies for an I-134A on your behalf, and the petitioner in Florida no longer intends to host you, can the beneficiary, upon their initial arrival in the US, travel to another state, such as New York, to stay with someone else? Would immigration officers inquire about why you didn't travel to Florida instead of New York?
