cuando me aprobaron yo era menor de edad.........alos 6 meses yo cumplí 21 años mi pregunta es la categoría cambia o se queda como menor de edad?

we got DQ July 2024. My wife is in Canada on work permit. her work permit is expiring in Oct 2024. now that we found out that Montreal is in backlog and we won’t receive interview date any time before October. she has option to stay on visitor visa to avoid paying thousands of dollars for work permit renewal.
does anyone know if this will cause any issue during interview process?
