case inquiry response in 7 days
I submitted a USCIS case inquiry on June 18 and received a response on June 25 (about 7 days later).
This is what USCIS said in the response:
“Your case is awaiting review. We assure you that we are working to complete the adjudication of your application as quickly as available resources allow. You do not need to do anything at this time. When we make a decision or take further action on your case, we will mail a notice to you or your representative at the address you gave us.”
For context:
* EB-3 Unskilled / I-485
* PD: November 2021
* Case currently at Los Angeles County Field Office

Notice Returned to USCIS
Hi Everyone,
I recieved a notification yesterday saying a notice was returned back to USCIS. I know they have the correct address on file because I received a prima facie extension just 2 weeks ago. I also called USCIS and asked them if they had the correct address on file and they said yes. I asked them what the document could be and they said they couldn’t tell me as they cannot see what has been sent. But she also said it’s definitely not an RFE because if it was an RFE they would be able to see that.
Has anyone else ever experienced this or been in the same position. Please share experiences.
I am meant to be travelling on 29th June for an emergency situation.
Thank you all in advance
Only my I-131 was transferred after I-485 medical RFIE response.
PD: June 2021
I-485/I-765/I-131 filed: Jan 30, 2026
Biometrics: Feb 23, 2026
June 5, 2026: Medical RFIE issued
June 22, 2026: RFIE response (new I-693) received by USCIS
June 24, 2026: Only my I-131 changed to “Case Transferred to Another Office.”
My I-485 still shows “Response To USCIS’ Request For Evidence Was Received” and my I-765 is still “Fingerprints were taken” since February.
Has anyone experienced only the I-131 being transferred while the I-485 stayed at NBC?
What happened next? did your I-131 get approved, or was your I-485 approved shortly after?
Green Card approved!!! 🎉🎉🎉🙏🙏🙏Thank you Jesus!!!
My husband was a dependent on my asylum case, and I’m happy to share that he has finally received his Green Card as well! 🙌❤️
If you are still waiting on your case, don’t lose hope. Continue to believe, pray, and trust God. He is faithful and can make a way for you too.
After many months of waiting, we decided to file a Writ of Mandamus (WOM), and shortly afterward his case was approved. Every case is different, but if you have been waiting for an extended period of time with no movement, it may be worth looking into whether a WOM is an option for your situation.
We are incredibly grateful to God for His faithfulness throughout this journey. 🙏❤️
Keep believing. Your breakthrough may be closer than you think.

Anyone with an EB-3 Other Workers (Unskilled) I-485 currently at the Mount Laurel Field Office?
My PD is January 2022. According to an Emma live agent, my case was recently transferred from NBC to the Mount Laurel Field Office and is currently pending there.
For those who had their case processed at Mount Laurel:
* How long after the transfer did you receive an approval or RFE?
* Was an interview required?
I would appreciate it if you could share your timeline and experience. Thank you!
VAWA Timeline Question: G-28 Rejected and EAD Waiting Time
Hi everyone,
I filed my VAWA case in July 2025, including Forms I-360,i-131, I-485, and I-765. I completed biometrics a while ago, but I only recently received my I-765 receipt notice in June 2026.
When I checked my USCIS account, I saw this update on my I-765 case:
“Form G-28 Was Rejected Because It Was Improperly Filed” (June 15, 2026).
Has anyone experienced something similar? Did the G-28 rejection affect your I-765 or EAD processing, or was it only related to the attorney representation form? Also, after receiving a delayed I-765 receipt notice, how long did it take for you to receive your EAD?
Thank you for sharing your experiences.
