FINALLY
it's MAY, and the k1 visa is done. After 2 long years, my fiance/k1 is here. Now we have to start the SSC and i485 stuff. Two years, no lawyers, covid delays, and everything Colombia and the US could throw at us, AND WERE FINALLY TOGETHER...
I WISH I had some device but the truth is this....it's a long process that is very difficult. Do your homework. Stay with bugging the embassies and the NVC for your file to move forward. DO YOUR HOMEWORK. DO YOUR HOMEWORK. DO YOUR HOMEWORK. Fill yourself with info from thus app, and again...do your homework. You and your fiance will fight until they arrive here. However, there's nothing like picking them up from the airport for the first time. The only way to make it is to keep yourself busy and take each day at a time. Those that persevere will be rewarded at the end. AND DONT LET ANY OF THE AGENCIES CHEAT YOU. READ AND INVESTIGATE THE RULES FOR WATEVER VISA THERE IS AND WHEN THEY TELL YOU SOMETHING THAT DOESNT MAKE SENSE, CALL THEM ON IT. IVE DONE IT PLENTY OF TIMES. IF I WIULD HAVE JUST ACCEPTED WHAT THEY SAID, MY FIANCE WIULD NOT BE HERE RIGHT NOW.......
GOOD LUCK TO ALL.

which timeline takes precedence in concurrent filing (I-140 Vs I-485)?
I’m curious to understand the timelines from USCIS case processing time website incase of concurrent filing applications.
Suppose the case timeline for I-485 shows 15 months and Case timeline for I-140 shows 17.5 months, considering I-485 doesn’t move without an approved I-140, how does processing happens? Does I-485 takes 17.5 months or 17.5months+15 months (assuming it will only be processed post approval of I-140)? Appreciate Any experiences and insights. thanks.

Thirteen months ago my husband and I submitted an application for an adjustment of status, in November 2021 we received our work permit, and a month ago my husband received his green card but I did not, has anyone had a similar experience? Is it normal? How long will it take for me to receive mine?

People with pending and approved green card application, asylum based, please share when and where did you apply. I applied at Chicago office, processing at NBC, waiting since June. This is helpful
