i485 interview completed.
I had my marriage based interview on 10th of March, 2021 Dallas Field Office. Interview was pretty straight forward with a laughing environment. The officer asked about how we met, when and where we went on our first date and who& what day was the proposal. Joint doc submitted were, joint bank account, two years lease agreement, two years joint tax filing& transcripts, spectrum bills, life insurance, auto insurance, utility bills, joint casino membership, hotel bookings, music concert tickets and 56 pictures. Interviewer says he needs to review the documents and case one more time and we'll get a feedback but nothing is yet to be updated online about interview completed or anything. How soon should I expect a feedback or an update online at least? Thank you
That's Strange!
So on March 9 I have a notice through the UCIS.gov that they scheduled an interview for my case.
Today my lawyer received the mail the interview will be on April 21st. Newark FO
Here's the strange thing, just now again I received the same notice I received on March 9th.
Questions: Is it because I submitted a change of address?
Will that change the date of the interview?
Please share some light!
Public charge rule stopped! No more I-944 needed!
From a post at Boundless:
The Biden administration announced Wednesday it would halt the public charge rule, a Trump-era policy that made it harder for low-income immigrants to obtain green cards. The decision follows a Supreme Court ruling dismissing a series of pending appeals over the controversial policy.
What does this mean for you?
Green card applicants filing on or after March 9 will no longer need to include Form I-944 (officially called the “Declaration of Self-Sufficiency”) when applying from within the United States. For those applying from outside the United States, Form DS-5440 (“Public Charge Questionnaire”) was already blocked by a preliminary injunction, and USCIS will likely also do away with that form.
The public charge rule isn’t going away completely — the latest version of the rule, which first took effect on Feb. 24, 2020, will simply be replaced by the previous, longstanding policy issued in 1999.
For those applying from within the United States (using adjustment of status):
The person seeking a green card won’t need to include a long list of supporting documents. These are:
Most recent tax transcript
Household members’ ID documents (sponsor’s still required for other forms)
Household members’ most recent tax transcripts (sponsor’s still required for other forms)
Applicant’s and other household members’ proof of additional income
Applicant’s and other household members’ assets, debts, and liabilities
U.S. credit report and score
Proof of health insurance
Education diplomas/transcripts and occupational certificates/licenses
Proof of english language proficiency
Proof of additional language ability
Primary caregiver documentation (if applicable)
For those applying from outside the United States:
Currently, you don’t need to include DS-5540 with your application, but we will update this page as we learn more.
What if I already filed Form I-944?
If an applicant has already filed their green card with Form I-944 attached, USCIS said in a statement that it would not consider any information related to the rule when reviewing petitions on or after March 9.
Applicants can also ignore Requests for Evidence, or RFE’s, with a deadline on or after March 9 asking for information that was required by the public charge rule. However, applicants should respond to an RFE for other requests.
Boundless will continue to update this page as we learn more.
medical/vaccine- pregnancy
Hi guys,
I am currently 5 months pregnant I went to do my medical for immigration purposes as my interview is next week. I was told by the surgeon I need to take mmr and varicella vaccines. I made the appointment for today,, as well as I did a sonogram this morning, My sonogram was 2 hours before the appointment. I was speaking to my Ob and told her I am going to do vaccines after I leave her facility. she immediately Advised me that while pregnant am not supposed to take mmr or varicella, I call the surgeon who is going to Complete my medical report he indicated to me that if I didn't take them he will not be able to complete it. I keep on saying to him I am pregnant he got so mad and hung the phone up on me . I drove to his practice And demanded to speak to him. He sent his secretary out I have been here for 3 hours And has still not come out to me. I already paid him my money. I callesback my Ob I and she wrote him a letter so I am just waiting for him to complete it can you believe it.!!! 😥😥😥😥
I even went last Monday to an urgent care and the ran out of vaccines or else I'd have taken them. 🙃
