interview today

I had my I-485 (EB-2) adjustment of status interview today at 9:15 AM, and I wanted to share my experience to help others who may be in a similar situation. I arrived early and was called in without issues. The interview lasted approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours. The first part of the interview consisted mostly of yes/no questions directly from the I-485 application (standard admissibility and background questions). After that, the officer asked case-specific questions, mainly related to my immigration history and employment-based petition. Nothing unusual or unexpected came up. The officer was professional and thorough. There were no accusations, no trick questions, and no requests for additional documents during the interview. At the end of the interview, the officer informed me that they would need to conduct an immigration review and discuss the case with a supervisor before adjudicating. No decision was given on the spot, and I was told to wait for the official update. Overall, the interview felt procedural and straightforward, even though it was long. I left feeling that the officer wanted to make sure everything was properly reviewed before making a final decision. I’ll update once there is movement on the case. Hope this helps others going through the process. time line 07/29/2025 – Case accepted (Receipt notice issued) 07/31/2025 – Case actively being reviewed 01/15/2026 – Interview scheduled 02/10/2026 – 2:15 PM – I-485 interview completed 02/10/2026 – ~4:40 PM – Status updated to: “Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS” (FTA1 – post-interview update)

Still Waiting After Green Card Interview – I-130 & I-485 Pending

It’s been over 302 days since my green card interview, and I’m still waiting with no decision. On December 11, 2025, my I-485 status changed to “case is being actively reviewed by USCIS,” but nothing since then. This process has been incredibly stressful and exhausting. Is anyone else in the same boat? Both my I-130 and I-485 are still pending.

over 2 months since our interview in November. we were given the white paper and was told we should be getting something in the mail within a month. Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS since that date. nothing has changed and been radio silence ever since. this is dragging and very frustrating.

I just received this notification from USCIS “Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS. After receiving your application, USCIS is now processing it. Nothing is required from your side at this point. Since the processing time varies depending on visa types, how long this message will stay could differ.” • My interview was already completed on April 14. • This morning (September 15), I received this new notification. I want to ask those of you who also have pending cases: Does this update usually mean something positive (a good sign), or is it just a standard update without much meaning? If anyone has had a similar experience, I would really appreciate hearing your thoughts.

no update on interview

had an interview in the Chicagofield office August 21 (19 days ago), still no decision updates . interview went well, we were only asked 2 questions and the I-485 part. I’m anxious! I’ve been refreshing constantly. the update on there is that case is being actively reviewed by USCIS no outstanding issues for now! I’m so worried it’s taking too long. the interviewer said we should be expecting update 1-2wks but it’s been over 2 wks now
