The Pain of Waiting – But Hope Never Dies
3 years and 3 months. That’s how long I waited. That’s how long I carried the unbearable weight of uncertainty. Every single day felt like a battle between hope and despair. I refreshed the USCIS page so many times, I lost count. I convinced myself I wouldn’t be approved. I lived with the fear that my dreams, my family, my future—everything—would slip away because of a decision that wasn’t in my hands.
There were nights I broke down, crying into the silence, feeling like no one understood the pain of waiting. The pain of not knowing. The pain of seeing life move forward for others while mine stood still. I questioned everything. I felt forgotten.
But then… one day, everything changed. I checked my status, and I saw the word I had been waiting for: “Approved.” At that moment, the weight on my chest finally began to lift. The pain, the sleepless nights, the tears—they didn’t disappear, but they suddenly felt worth it.
To those still waiting, I know your pain. I know how heavy it feels to carry this uncertainty every day. But please, don’t lose hope. Even in the darkest moments, your day is coming. There is still light at the end of the tunnel. Stay patient. Stay strong. Because when that moment finally arrives, when you see that approval, you will realize that every tear, every prayer, every sleepless night—it was all leading you to that one life-changing moment.
Hold on. Your time is coming.

I-601A approved, Documentarily Qualified. Am I safe from ICE deportation under new Trump guidance?
Entered the USA from Mexico in 2001 without being seen or processed by immigration.
Married to US Citizen
No criminal history
I-130 approved in 2020
I-601A approved in February, 2024
Documentarily Qualified July, 2024
Awaiting interview in Ciudad Juarez
Do we know if interviews in CDJ are still happening? Any increased risk going there now with Trump in office?
I am hoping that, if I am picked up, once they see my paperwork that that I've been working through every step of the immigration process legally, either the ICE officers or the immigration court will show leniency. I'm so close! Based on what we've seen, I'm hoping for an interview date within the next 6 months.

Waiting for Case Creation Letter.
Our I-130 petition has been approved, but we have not yet received the case creation letter. It has been over 40 days since the approval. We received a letter from USCIS stating that the National Visa Center (NVC) would contact us within 30 days. However, we still have not heard anything from them. We submitted an inquiry to the NVC, but they have not responded. We are feeling very anxious about this situation. Could anyone please advise us on what steps we should take next?

Finally Approved Spousal Visa I130 American Wife petitioner Nigerian husband. pd August 11th 2023 Approved October 24th 2024 California Service Center
First off I want to Thank God that we finally got through the USCIS stage after 440 days waiting Our prayers have been answered. I'm just so grateful as I recently had my daughter 3 months and we have been waiting since August 2023 of last year. We tried requesting expedite a few times knowing I wanted my husband to be here to witness the birth of his 1st daughter. Although he wasn't here physically, mentally and emotionally he has been. This journey has been so hard on us with already so much distance between us. So yesterday October 24th 2024 I received a phone notification from Lawfully that there had been an update on our case, but when trying to log into USCIS the verification code wasn't coming through for me to log in. So I waited with anticipation to see when I would finally be able to log in. once I did I immediately went to the documents tab an typically where I uploaded the receipt I saw there was 2 documents instead of only being 1. My heart was pounding as I open the file and begin to read the approval letter. it was like 1am my husbands time I called him like 4 times until he picked up the phone to share the good news! I still haven't gotten an email but the approved letter was in documents and now after all that waiting 440 days we can move to NVC STAGE!!! Praying for so many people in the same situation took 14 1/2 months but God did it for us. Still Speechless!! Please keep faith it's going to happen.
We did not hire a lawyer we did all the work and put together a Bonifide packet ourselves with 4 full PowerPoint pages of pics, receipts of trips I've take (flights, airbnb stays), my paybstubs for last 6 months, my Credit Cards I put in my name with my married name, added him as authorized user, added my husband to 401k Finance documents, our marriage certificates, Letters of Affidavit from his mom and my best friends, Both or Birth Certificate, Passports and Idenfication documents, my daughters Certificate of Birth from Hospital, Expedite request came later but never approved we also reach out to our Congress women and was denied approval for Expedite. We reached out to the White House again no Expedite approval, but we kept the faith knowing everything we uploaded was more than what was asked. I just want to have my little family together in the same place 🙏🏿 I'm grateful the light at the end of the tunnel is coming! #USCIS #I130 #Nigeria #Spousal #CaliforniaServiceCenter #NVC #FAMILY #GREENCARD

After my I-130 was approved, USCIS instructed us to file the I-824. After 13 months, my I-824 has been approved. Yesterday, I received an email stating that the case has been transferred to the NVC, and they will send a mail within 30 days.
Now, I need expert suggestions on which documents or other things I should prepare properly. Your advice is appreciated.
