I485 was submitted to NCS but it was transferred to NBC on 12/10/2022.
I submitted my medical along my application when I applied.
I485 was transferred to #SanJose filed office on 03/29/2023. ( I didn’t get a notification on case status, I knew from Emma online chat). The case took around 3 weeks to get approved after it was transferred to a FO with no interview nor RFE.

Finally approved 🙏🏻🎉
Today my Lawfully journey comes to an end, yesterday I finally got my green card approved with no interview. It was a long journey, a lot of times I found myself frustrated, sad and willing to give it all up, but the day finally came up.
If you’re feeling hopeless, feeling like everyone is getting their approvals but you, be persistent, I was in your shoes days ago and as my time came, yours is next, don’t give up, trust the process and God will take care of the rest.
I wish all future immigrants a great journey as permanent resident in this amazing country!! 🍾🥂

Maybe Fastest I-485 Approval Without Interview
I just got my I-130 and I-485 approvals on the same day on April 15th without an interview.
USCIS recieved my I-485 application without I-693 on Feb 28th. I got Biometrics done on March 31st and submitted I-693 RFE few days after that. In total, my case got approved in 45 days.
Here’s my timeline for reference. Wish everyone luck with your process. #i485 #greencardapproved

1-130 for Permanent Residents is 46 months at NBC?!
Is USCIS serious about 46-month time frame for the 1-130 petition at the National Benefits Center? It seems like for citizens, it's 36.5 months, which is still a long ass wait time.
This is crazy.
Anyone heard back with their i-130 from September 2022 PD?
Emma said my 1-485 interview seems to be waived, and is just waiting for the i-130 to be completed. What's going on with NBC?!

Expedite Request Documentation I485
Is in state tuition and eligibility for federal students loans good enough reason to apply for an I485 expedite? If asked, what documents can one provide to establish severe financial loss?
Are these reasons sufficient?
1- Difference of tuition in-state and out of state
2- Difference of total loan amount with federal aid and with private lenders
In all the total difference in tuition over 2 years is 50,000 USD.
Please guide. Thanks. #I485 #eb2 #niw #expedite #severefinancialloss
GC approved, NBC, Mount Laurel NJ FO
Hi all,
Finally got approved yesterday. It took pretty much exactly 9months, which was the “middle of the curve” when looking at the probability bars of the I-485 for NBC, so no surprises, neither pleasant nor unpleasant.
Some additional points:
- I got my EAD about 3 months ago, without AP, no combo card.
- I got a “notice of intent to deny” as we had not submitted the bona fide evidence as we expected to bring that to the interview.
So we sent it, very quickly after that (a few days) we got the RFE for the medical exam. When I sent the medical I-693, its receipt was confirmed the same day as it was delivered by UPS to USCIS.
- Two days later the case was approved. (Interview waived.) Mount Laurel NJ Field Office. (My case must have gotten transferred from Newark FO.)
- I never inquired or asked to expedite my case or talked to Emma.
- AP still pending, so I wouldn’t count on getting it before the GC, but I read about some people on here who are getting combo cards, but was not the case for me.
For me, it helped to focus on the dailiy activities and not think about it every day and to not check this app all the time.
Hold tight everyone and wishing you the best!

Is there anyway to reinstate green card if abandoned at no fault of mine?
If someone have faced this before, the green card was taken away after not showing in the US for more than a few years, however the age was 4 years old which means it wasn't "voluntary abandonment of status". Does anybody know anyone who faced this and is there anything to do to somehow reinstate the Green card? Thank you.

the Card is finally here. Sharing my expirience. Marriage
I’d start with most popular questions:
Field Office: Newark, NJ
National Benefit center.
Medical wasn’t submited with the forms.
First RFE for I-130 it came from NBC (We were missing a signature😖), I think it delayed our case for 3 extra months.
Second RFE for 130. It came from Local Office. Requested all the marriage evidence again.
RFE for I 485 was medical.
we hoped If they requested many evidences that interview will be waived (AND I WAS TOLD MULTIPULE TIMES that it was waived).
We are a gay couple, so somehow I have a feeling that’s why we were called for an interview. Got this feeling after our interview which went stressful. My husband is an American citizen. We were interviewed separately. He spent almost 30 mins in the room and with me only 10 which was a surprise because as I heard that usually Citizens go faster. the officer was really focused on my husband’s vacations out of the country like why he travels so much without me, well cuz I couldn’t leave the country lol. And more awkward questions , felt like he tried to catch me and my husband on lies. We are also expecting a baby girl with the surrogate and the last thing the officer said that he will need a birth certificate of the unborn child, and I feel it was weird to ask documents that don’t exist yet. Well we left stressed and disappointed because we had tons of evidence and tons of photos and photos from the baby shower we had a few days before the interview. the Next day I got approved. I don’t know if he asked his supervisor or just changed his mind and the date on green card is the date of the interview, so I believe he approved us right away. Today I got my card.
I apply for the Work authorization much later because I had an asylum case so I had one from that. I applied for new one when old got expired. Was fast about 3 months.
About AP! I didn’t want to apply because with an open asylum case even if you got married is not worth to risk and travel. But my mom got cancer that’s why I had to apply in case of an emergency trip. AP took 6 months to get approved.
I think that’s all. It wasn’t 488 days journey! It was 8 years! Beyond happy and super tired hahahaha! Thank you everybody who answered my questions I asked during this time. Y’all get it!! See you in 2 years for I -90 😘#i485 #lgbt #gay #gaymariage #marriage #family

Can I apply for OPT while pending I-765 based on I-485?
Hi, I applied for a work permit through a marriage-based green card on November 28th, 2022, and I just now realized that it might take 15 months to get approved (compared to the 4-6 months I initially thought).
I am graduating in May and am interviewing for jobs right now. I am terrified of staying off I-20 status, and not being able to work (+ not being able to drive). Can I apply for an OPT (4-week estimated wait time) while I have a pending I-765 based on marriage?
I read somewhere that it could give confusing/opposing intent as one is an immigrant while the other is a non-immigrant, but I also read that the worst case would be the denial of OPT but no effect on the green card process whatsoever. Some have even said they have done so successfully. Your thoughts???
Thank you!!!! I am so stressed right now...
