GC approved, NBC, Mount Laurel NJ FO
Hi all, Finally got approved yesterday. It took pretty much exactly 9months, which was the “middle of the curve” when looking at the probability bars of the I-485 for NBC, so no surprises, neither pleasant nor unpleasant. Some additional points: - I got my EAD about 3 months ago, without AP, no combo card. - I got a “notice of intent to deny” as we had not submitted the bona fide evidence as we expected to bring that to the interview. So we sent it, very quickly after that (a few days) we got the RFE for the medical exam. When I sent the medical I-693, its receipt was confirmed the same day as it was delivered by UPS to USCIS. - Two days later the case was approved. (Interview waived.) Mount Laurel NJ Field Office. (My case must have gotten transferred from Newark FO.) - I never inquired or asked to expedite my case or talked to Emma. - AP still pending, so I wouldn’t count on getting it before the GC, but I read about some people on here who are getting combo cards, but was not the case for me. For me, it helped to focus on the dailiy activities and not think about it every day and to not check this app all the time. Hold tight everyone and wishing you the best! #nbc #mountlaurel #I485 #I130 #I132 #marriage #ead #newark

the Card is finally here. Sharing my expirience. Marriage
I’d start with most popular questions: Field Office: Newark, NJ National Benefit center. Medical wasn’t submited with the forms. First RFE for I-130 it came from NBC (We were missing a signature😖), I think it delayed our case for 3 extra months. Second RFE for 130. It came from Local Office. Requested all the marriage evidence again. RFE for I 485 was medical. we hoped If they requested many evidences that interview will be waived (AND I WAS TOLD MULTIPULE TIMES that it was waived). We are a gay couple, so somehow I have a feeling that’s why we were called for an interview. Got this feeling after our interview which went stressful. My husband is an American citizen. We were interviewed separately. He spent almost 30 mins in the room and with me only 10 which was a surprise because as I heard that usually Citizens go faster. the officer was really focused on my husband’s vacations out of the country like why he travels so much without me, well cuz I couldn’t leave the country lol. And more awkward questions , felt like he tried to catch me and my husband on lies. We are also expecting a baby girl with the surrogate and the last thing the officer said that he will need a birth certificate of the unborn child, and I feel it was weird to ask documents that don’t exist yet. Well we left stressed and disappointed because we had tons of evidence and tons of photos and photos from the baby shower we had a few days before the interview. the Next day I got approved. I don’t know if he asked his supervisor or just changed his mind and the date on green card is the date of the interview, so I believe he approved us right away. Today I got my card. I apply for the Work authorization much later because I had an asylum case so I had one from that. I applied for new one when old got expired. Was fast about 3 months. About AP! I didn’t want to apply because with an open asylum case even if you got married is not worth to risk and travel. But my mom got cancer that’s why I had to apply in case of an emergency trip. AP took 6 months to get approved. I think that’s all. It wasn’t 488 days journey! It was 8 years! Beyond happy and super tired hahahaha! Thank you everybody who answered my questions I asked during this time. Y’all get it!! See you in 2 years for I -90 😘#i485 #lgbt #gay #gaymariage #marriage #family
