I-485 and I-130 APPROVED Today 😃
My I-485 was approved today after I had my interview today and to my surprise I received decisions 3 hours after my interview. In 2021 I had an interview for my I-485 and I-130 but a document was missing as that caused delayed for about 3.2 years.
I put a call across to them and 5 days after they now send me a mail for the interview which I had today together with my wife. We had a separate interviews in which I was taken out at first and after my wife was done they did my own too for just about 15 mins. Later my wife was allowed to comes in and in that spot while we sorted the interviewer told us that he will go ahead and approve my I-130 and later he will approve I-485.
I wish others all the best and please don’t give up as it cost me 4 years in this journey as I should have gotten approved since Oct 2021 but a document was missing from my application and not untill Nov 2024 I got a mail from them to come for todays interview.
Thanks to this platform even though I hardly read comments but it give a lot of hope.

question regarding i485 application
One of my friend filing his I-485 application in his own and need help regarding the question in Criminal Record section: “Have you EVER been arrested, cited, charged, or detained for any reason by any law enforcement official?”
He was arrested in home country by political influence , they kept him police station few hours and released. No arrest recorded and no charges. It was also mentioned in asylum application and declaration.
He should answer “Yes” in my I-485 application? and provide an explanation in the additional information section or Do we need to write a cover letter?
Does anyone have a similar situation?
I-131 Receipt notice
Hey, guys!
I filled combo card and I-485 on Nov 18th. I received the receipt notices for I-485 and I-765. However, I did not get a receipt notice for I-131 advance parole form and I mailed them in the same envelope.
I contacted and uscis agent and told me that based on their record they only received I-485 and I-765 and I-131 has not been registered to the system and to contact the Lockbox team/support.
Has anyone has gone through the same? I’m worried caused I mailed everything in the same envelope. Please share your experience! Thank you!
Timeline
On August 5 I sent my second request for evidence, that same day they received it since I uploaded it online, it appeared for 3 months that the case was being reviewed, then an email that they had taken action on my case in November but nothing else, I asked Emma and she said it was because they transferred my case to my local office, so from November to December without news, yesterday December 10 at 7:30 am emails began to arrive that they had taken action on my case, in total there were 4 emails but nothing, this morning at 8 am another one again and finally at 9:45 am approval of the 485 and today at 8:45 pm approval of the 130
20 months, conditional GC because my 2nd anniversary it’s in March 30 2025
No Updates At all 🥲
Has anyone successfully expedited their visa case? If so, how long did it take for the expedited request to be approved and the visa to be processed? I’d appreciate any insights or advice.

Name CORRECTION during naturalization interview
I have my N400 naturalization interview upcoming , Newark NJ , employment GC 5 years rule , I noticed that they missed up the last letter in my middle name ( typo , I did review the N400 form ) so they wrote Saio instead of said . so do I ask during the interview to correct the typo ( I have all supporting documents: Birth certificate, previous correspondence with USCIS and the green card ) , and would this impact same day oath ceremony if to happen same day ? interview on a Saturday
2025 is going to be a depressing year for immigrants
2025 to 2028 is going to be very tough for us.
-Be prepared for increased wait times.
-Be prepared for increased & unnecessary obstacles & increased scrutiny by USCIS.
-Travel only if it’s an emergency.
-Mandatory interviews might become a thing for all types of applications.
I have only come across negative news about immigration since Mr.Dump was elected. Man, we are all exhausted but I am glad there are apps like this where we share experiences & support each other.
