Case Processing

10 years Green Card received - 8 days after the I-485 got approved - Marriage based. Please read till the end.
Hi everyone! Here is my timeline: October 2020: I got married to a USC January 2021: My wife filed I-130 petition January 2024: Interviewed and 3 days after the interview my I-130 was approved Mars 2024: My lawyer filed a motion to terminate my removing proceedings case in the court due to my asylum case. April 2024: DHS’ attorney approved the motion and The judge granted signed it. May 2024: Filed I-485 application to register permanent residence September 2024: Filed I-765 form for work permit November 3rd 2024: RFE for my I-485 November 30th 2024: Responded to the RFE by uploading all the documents in my USCIS online account December 3rd 2024: My I-765 was approved December 7th 2024: Received my 5 years work permit which is useless now. December 10th 2024: My I-485 was approved December 16th 2024: Received my new unrestricted social security card December 18th 2024: Green card received in my mailbox Thoughts: Avoid conditional 2 years green card and Prioritize the 10 years green card. To do so you need to file only I-130 once it’s get approved then file I-485 to get it approved on the 2 years of your marriage’s anniversary Thanks to my competent lawyer for her cheaper services: I paid her $4,000 to covering everything: Asylum cases at the court + Marriage based cases filing I-130 & I-485 + Help to respond to RFE for my I-485 + USCIS in-person interview for the I-130. Note: The processing time of my I-485 was estimated to 9 months when it was approved. Don’t be discouraged by the estimated time that shows in your status. It’s not accurate at all. Patience is the key. Be patient and pray My prayers and thoughts are with you. Good luck to everyone!
