Hi everyone,
I’m hoping someone here might have gone through something similar.
My VAWA has already been approved, and I had my I-485 interview in March 2024. Since then, I haven’t received any clear updates or a final decision.
Has anyone else experienced a long wait after the interview — especially with an approved VAWA case? How long did it take for you to get a response?
Any insight, advice, or shared experience would really help. 🙏

And we just had a baby 2 months ago, how can I add baby so that baby and my wife will immigrate together? USCIS website is not clear about this scenario. Do we have to file separate I130? Has anyone gone through this similar situation?

Final merits Determination focus on the totality if your achievements to see if you have achieved a sustained national acclaim. EB1A isn't about checking the boxes to meet at least three criteria but to meet the final merits determination. For example, USCIS clearly says it that being the first author is of significant evidence that you are among the top person in your field, *especially if the person is the most significant contributor to the published article, a senior author, or the sole author of the article;* and publishing in *particularly highly-ranked journals (including published conference proceedings) relative to other journals in the field, as demonstrated by, for example, evidence the petitioner provides regarding the journal’s impact factor* demonstrates that the person is among the small percentage at the top of the field.
