Mandamus lawsuit to card in hand!!
I finally received my green card after 660 days 🙌
I’m glad I filed mandamus lawsuit otherwise I don’t know how long the wait would be. I reached out to congressman twice and state senator twice. All I got was just generic responses. Nothing helped me.
I didn’t even get EAD and couldn’t work since my work visa expired in Nov 2022…
I’ll share my lawsuit timeline here. Hope this helps you who are thinking to sue! 😁

4/2 USCIS scheduled us for the interview
(they extended deadline to 5/9)
4/22 Interview
4/29 I-130 was approved
5/9 USCIS issued RFE
(they extended deadline again to 7/9)
5/31 Reply to RFE
6/15 I-485 was approved
6/27 Card was delivered
The interview was 2 hours long… First 45min was with my husband and it went smoothly. Then the officer let my husband go and left me alone for further interview. He asked me so many questions about my immigration history like my previous job and how I got the work visa etc (I came to the U.S. with J1 visa. I went back to my country once and came back with E2 visa)
RFE was about my previous job and the visa. I also had to submit all the W2 I got past 5 years and paystubs…

Last uscis working day before retrogression
Waited from July 2023 to April 2024 for my PD to become current, only for it to get retrogressed in July 2024, again, for a second time. I think i’m definitely one of the unluckiest people ever. now, if Trump becomes president, i’ll be more screwed than ever.

June 2023, Texas Service Center
When are they going to start approving June, the wait is becoming unbearable 💔. I saw on trackmyvisas that they approved a bunch of March 2024 but June is just sitting there. #texasservicecenter #june2023 #i130standalone #waiting
