if I'm still waiting for approval. can my application get canceled because of the timing. like if I did my application in 2020 it's 2024 can it expire if I'm currently waiting for an answer?

I’m a bit confused cos it doesn’t say anything like that on the portal but on lawfully,it says I should send hard copies in one envelope.
