Alhamdulilah. My child’s I-130 approved on 08/25/2022.Update on case 09/01/2022
09/01/2022 - Update on cases.
My spouse and child got the visa on 09/01/2022 at US consulate,Mumbai.India.
I-130 was approved a week after being expedited.
Texas Service center.
My child was added as a derivative on my spouse’s approved case. However, she was removed from the case as I became a citizen and upgraded the category from F2A to IR1. For those who don’t know, the IR category does not allow derivatives. I had to submit a new petition for the child after the category was upgraded. I expedited the petition on 08/18/2022 and received expedited approved notice on 08/23/2022. Status changed to Actively reviewing the second time on the morning of 08/25/2022.In the afternoon, the petition was approved. Special thanks to @Andy God for helping me expedite the case, and Special thanks to @Shamondy Oyelowo for the information.

INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE
We were separated from the get go. IO asked us 6 questions along with few questions from the submitted forms.
- Does your spouse has tattoos? how many?
- What is the size of the bed?
- Do you have lock on your letter box?
- What is the color of your front door?
- Do you have ice maker in refrigerator?
- how much is your rent?
IO didn’t ask for any additional documents. we had hired Boundless to help us filling. At the end of the interview, we were given 120 days review paper. Fast forward to March 2022, we reached out to our senator for help, since we hadn’t heard anything about our decision. Senator rep said we have to waiting until we cross posted the processing time. we then reached out to our local congressman since my father was not doing well back home. congressman was great help for us, they filled an inquiry on our behalf. On a very next day, RFE was issued. RFE was about proof showing my attendance at the school I was enrolled in. My SEVIS was active until December 2021. IO never asked for any school documents during the interview so we were bit puzzled with RFE. Even though it was simple RFE, we hired a lawyer to send our response. RFE was issued on April 8, 2022 and RFE response was delivered on May 12, 2022.
We asked congressman to put another inquiry on June 1st,2022. Congressman didn’t receive a response until June 29, 2022, the response from USCIS was “case has been assigned to an officer for adjudication”. we didn’t hear anything back whole month of July and half of August. we were trying to see what other options we had to get a decision. Even though we had lost all the hopes, congressman put another inquiry on August 1st, 2022, and our cases were approved on August 18,2022.
The whole experience took all the strength I had in me. Our mental health was affected tremendously due to the long wait and being away from our family.
Meditation, prayers and keeping our minds distracted in something more productive was very helpful. please let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Family!
Finally, my journey is over.
Sharing my timeline and happy to share any information you might need.
Below is a summary of the info we don’t have in my timeline.
My medical exam was done on May 18th, and besides I got the hepatitis B vaccine, the doctor didn’t show it in my form and put it as “not age appropriate “.
Because of issues about this vaccine with a lot of people, I attached my Walgreens vaccine shots.
On July 20, 2022, my case was transferred to NBC.
The RFE on 8/11/2022 was about the medical exam.
The other RFE on 8/17/2022 was about the medical exam, as well.
I sent them my medical exam on 8/18/2022 evening (priority mail).
They received my medical exam on 8/19/2022 morning in Boston (I am in Texas).
But they never updated the website with that.
My husband is under my application, and he hasn’t received the RFE for his medical exams.
We are waiting for that.
Thank God, and I wish luck to all of you.
We know how this is so stressful.
God bless everyone!
