Receipt Date: December 8, 2020, NBC (Please note: this EAD is based on family-based adjustment of status). Expedite request was ignored, in my opinion. Yesterday August 23 was exactly a month since I placed second expedite request. Be inspired, ask questions and I will be very happy to answer you.

I-765 finally updated to “new card is being produced” after almost 9 months of waiting
hey everyone, I just got notified that my EAD card is being produced finally, and I thought it may help those of you that are in a similar position. I filed I-765 concurrently with my family based I-485 in December 2020, and while I’m still waiting for an interview date to be scheduled for my I-485, I’m excited that my EAD finally got approved today. I’m not sure if the 765 is processed in the local office or not, but my local office is in Minneapolis-St. Paul.

My husband and I had our interview today and were approved on the spot. The immigration officer was quite nice. He mainly asked about when, where, and how we met, how our relationship developed, and if and when we met each other's parents. Then, he proceeded to questions on I-485: demographics, work (for my USC husband) and yes/no questions. For joint documents, we provided tax return, lease, bills, and travel history (plane tickets). At the end of the interview, he told us the case was approved and I should expect to receive my card in 3 weeks. Hope this helps! Best of luck!!
Ps. we also got a surprise test where the officer asked to see if our house keys match :D

Finally received EAD card.
Grateful that I received my EAD card. Contacting my local congressman to expedite really helped. They were extremely responsive and helped move things along. A sigh of relief as I can start working again. Still waiting on the SSN, hope to get that soon as well. All the best to everyone going through this application process!
