I-140 approved after 11 months
Finally my #NIW I-140 got approved after almost a year of anxiety. I don’t have that many publications so I was stressing out the whole time. I submitted my I-140 in Sept. 2021 in Nebraska and filed my EAD, I-131, and I-485 in January 2022.
There were speculations that filing concurrently slows down the process but I think I’m lucky enough that my case got approved within a reasonable timeline. I’m also lucky to not have shed $2500 for premium processing.

EAD approval.
My lawyer, received my EAD, I’ll be picking it up later this week. My EAD will have my married last name. My Mexican passport has my last name before marriage, my Mexican passport has expired and needs to be renewed, when I go renew my passport, will they go based on my EAD card? (married last name) I know it’s best to ask my lawyer, but I need to make an appointment to renew my passport and would like to start that process by hopefully getting an appointment next week.
USCIS FINALLY terminates K3 from my cases
🤣12 days after approval they have finally terminated the k3 which did absolutely NOTHING for me. I have learned that they hardly EVER approve k3’s and it MIGHT help some of the I-130 cases but there is NO GUARANTEE PERIODT. I’m still having to fix stuff even at NVC now because they have out the wrong embassy for my spouse to interview. They automatically defaulted the last embassy location where he asked for a tourist visa and was denied and not what I said in my petition. I DON’T LIKE DOING YOUR JOB AND MY JOB TOO!! Immigration Overhaul!!

My wife and I got our diversity visa from the US embassy in Islamabad. We paid $330 to embassy per person during the interview. We got another letter for a second payment to the USCIS. It is called immigration fee and asking us $220 per person. Are they the same? Are they different? do we need to pay the $220 as well no matter if embassy already charged us $330?

Case Approved
My case has been approved, and my approval notice is valid from now till August 28. I'm still waiting on NVC... please I need help or information on how long it takes for NVC to reach out to you...
