USCIS Approved K1..now NVC and Consulate?

Found out yesterday after a nice little notification from Lawfully popped up on my phone! Sending positive energy to all you that are waiting on that same notification. It is truly a test of your patience. Now on to the next part of this process.. I’m trying to see what the next part involves. I foolishly thought that once USCIS approved the K-1 that meant she could legally come over and we could get married but I just read that it has to go to NVC then the US Embassy or Consulate in her home country (Ecuador).. maybe I’m misunderstanding something?? What was the process after you received the Approval notification for your K1? How long did it take to actually be cleared to come over? Thank you for any advice or information about your experience. The comments and post on this app really do help

My I-765 was approved today but my i-485 remains pending. How long does it typically take for i-485 to be approved after i-765 is approved? I haven’t received notification for medical yet. My PD is May 22.

hi everyone! My husband got his biometrics done, and immediately he got his status changed to “actively reviewed”, which I know is to be expected. However, it also updated again to “actively review”about an hour ago. Is this normal to update twice or is it a glitch?

I received my ead on November 2 but still didn’t receive ssn and I went to Social Security Office

they told me to wait 45 days after requesting one because Uscis will request one automatically but when I went to SSA they didn’t see anything on the status what can I do now

Does United Airlines accept advance parole document?

Hi everyone, I’ve finally received my advance parole (filed in April 2023, expedited in August 2023). I’ve read here that some airlines don’t accept advance parole. Has anyone had experience traveling on United Airlines with this document? Any issues returning to the US? Thanks in advance.

Does this mean our interview could be waived? (RFE for Medical and Evidence)

Hi there, We submitted our I-485 back in November 2021 when my wife arrived on k-1 and we got married. Its been silent ever since we had our biometrics and rfe back in Dec 2021. We messaged our senator for help a few weeks ago and it seems to have paid off. Fastforward to today and we finally got a RFE for a new medical exam and additional evidence for our marriage. could this be a sign they plan to waive the interview? wouldn’t they have just told us to bring that stuff to an interview otherwise? Thanks in advance!

We went to our concurrent filed case I130/I485 yesterday. The I-130 was approved the same day. Today the I-485 was approved. I am happy to answer any questions.
