Affidavit of Support
My mother's 130 recently got approved. I make enough money to sponsor my mom myself; however, my wife and I filled our 2023 taxes as married filing jointly (MFJ), and our combined incomes are way above the 2024 HHS Poverty Guidelines for Affidavit of Support.
1. Do we fill out an affidavit of support as joint sponsors using our combined income? If so,
2. What application form do I need to fill out?
3. Is my sspouse required to fill out a form, as we have a combined income? If yes, what form?
OR
4. Can I only fill out an affidavit of support ( my separate income is above the povert guidlines) even though I filed taxes jointly with my spouse?

delay processing
my husband submitted his I-485 and it was delivered to Chicago lockbox on Apr16,2024. No update since then and looks like service centers are closed from Apr 1. and now they are sending all documents to lockbox locations. Which it will cause some delays from USCIS to issue a receipt# I think.

I'm currently on an H-1B visa and have a pending I-485. I'm planning to travel to my home country. My H-1B visa is valid until April 2025, and I have a valid visa sticker for its expiration. I spoke with my ISO advisor about how traveling outside the U.S. could impact my Green Card application, especially when I have a pending I-485.
Is there any good reason for me to be concerned?

Decision is Pending...
One of my friend got asylum decision through lawyer. However, the status has not changed on the USCIS website for 3 weeks. Still shows "Decision is pending". He wants to know whether he will get physical documents like EAD, I 94 from USCIS.

I-131 (Reentry Permit)
Hello. I need help.
✓ They got my I-131 (reentry permit) at 16 April, 2024.
✓ They issued an acknowledgement receipt (I-797C) at 29 April, 2024 (I have got in mail 1 week later)
In the receipt they said: "If we determine you must submit biometrics, we will mail you a biometrics appointment notice with the time and place of your appointment."
Now today is May 21. One month passed after filing the form.
• When can I get the Biometrics Appointment? And which date can the appointment be?
• I need to go outside within June. Can I make it after doing the Biometrics?
Please, help me out.
