Interview completed
my spouse and I just finished our interview in Atlanta field office. the officer was really straight forward. she called us in by our number, we got into the office and instantly made us swear the oath. as we stood I could see our documents submitted infront of her desk. she asked me if I have an id from the state I had my daughter. I said no. she instantly asked us what documents we have together and we handed her a whole bunch of neatly organized documents including joint bank accounts, joint credit cards statement, life insurance, health insurance, our new lease we will be moving into early next year(she didn’t understand why we have a renters insurance whiles we haven’t moved in yet-she was shaking her head which was really unprofessional) my spouse explained to her that it was normal and we will move in. she asked what if we don’t move in and we insisted we will move in.🤦🏻‍♀️ then she asked me his dad and mum’s name, his date of birth. she asked him my name, my date of birth, how and where we met and why he was with me whiles I was pregnant. like really??? she asked my current employer, she asked the name and date of birth of my baby father which I told her I don’t know his date of birth cos we wasn’t together for long because it was a toxic relationship and after I found out I wasn’t gonna abort my child. just few basic questions then the yes and no questions. we both signed, then she said we will receive a notice in the mail. I wished her happy thanksgiving and she said thanks you too. she definitely doesn’t look like she’s a happy face kinda person. real straight face but my spouse and I was good, nice and polite to her. case is updated to being reviewed but hopeful for good news soon. #atlanta #atl #interview #faith #hope 🙏🏻

6 weeks after Interview!! finally approved!! 😭😭
Indianapolis FO. No RFEs. Took 7 months to get Bio appt!! I made multiple inquires. when my I-131 became “out of normal processing time” I made a case inquiry and shortly after got scheduled for Bio. if you filed for combo and one of them is out of normal processing, make as many inquires as you can (I think Bio is faster now no?) I think A week after Bio, I was scheduled for interview. As soon as I got the notification, I chatted with an agent through Emma to know the interview date ( if you can’t tell, my patience was running thin lol). Interview day. Right before I sat down he gave me the white paper saying he will not make a decision today ( I was so bummed out especially seeing others get approved on the spot wit the same FO). my officer was so mean😭, he asked simple questions but each question was loaded with unnecessary minute details. At a point, he was almost yelling at me because I answered I don’t know to one of the questions he asked, he wouldn’t take I don’t know for an answer, (like I’m going to be honest and say I don’t know!) Never lie, better to say you don’t know than make up something on the spot. he kept pressuring me and trying to feed me answers . I think I spent almost an hour in there. with my partner it wasn’t that long. The waiting: this was the hardest part, everyday i vehicles Reddit and Facebook and saw people posting how they were approved on the spot by the same FO, or very shortly after interview. I started imagining the worst case scenario. eventually I decided to move on hoping they would get to me eventually ( it was hard but I had to , for my mental health). Then after over a month of silence , I decided to try making an inquiry, I wasn’t expecting this to work because they do have 120 days to make their decision. I did it anyways, I make a request to get a call from a Tier 2 officer. Officer called me after a while and I explained to her that I want to know the status of my application, I completed my interview, if they need anything just send me an rfe so I can move on with my life dammit! she was very nice and understanding and she forwarded my inquiry to the FO. I was expecting a generic answer but about a few days later, I suddenly got notification that nee card was being produced!! finally the wait is over. Hallelujah!! #i-485 #interview #approved #greencard
