I-485 filing date for Spouse of Permanent Resident apllied on September 27, 2023
Hello all, like my title suggests, is it the right time to file for I 485 for permanent resident spouse? the filing date was Sept 2023, I 130 is still pending. but when we checked visa bulletin, the i 485 filing is showing Sept 1 2023. Previously when we filed I 485 after two weeks of filing I 130, we got it back stating that it was not the correct time to file. therefore now before filing, we want to make sure it is the correct time to file.
Any leads will be highly appreciated. #I-485 #Spouse #PermanentResident
VAWA Greencard Interview after multiple expedite requests.
Hello everyone, I received a letter from USCIS requesting an interview following my request to expedite my green card application due to hardship and humanitarian reasons. My VAWA was approved last year June and medcal was received by USCIS in August. What should I prepare for this interview? Any advice or tips from those who have gone through a similar process would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your suggestions and guidance. #VAWA #GREENCARD #I-485 #INTERVIEW
Green Card
Today I had my interview for my I-485. It went well and after a couple hours I received an uldate “New Card is being produced”. I understood that I got approved but I contacted USCIS with a question and they told me that in their end it is still pending.
Should I be concerned? #DV #I-485 #GreenCard

Hi guys, I hope you can guide me to a brighter understanding of my situation,
Back on February 2023 when my visa category (f2a)was current on both charts my lawyer filled concurrently my I-360 I-485 I-131 I-765, so around April 24 USCIS rejected my package because it was filled to the wrong office(Vermont) so we needed to re file to Nebraska(now my category was not current), anyways USCIS set my priority date as February 16.
On June 1st USCIS rejected my form I-485 for insufficient funds, this time I was really mad because this was the second time my lawyer messed up, I ask her what happened, she said that this was a USCIS mistake, I believed her and we submit again the package with the corresponding filling fees and a letter explaining USCIS that at funds were available at all times and they should honored my priority date, I am not sure if they did it or not, since in any of my notifications I can see my priority date.
Several months passed, on November 11 my lawyer notified me that I had biometrics appointment on November 22nd for my I-485(code 3), I went to the ASC, everything went smooth and with no issues, couple days after the system updated to Fingerprints were applied to my I-131 and I-485; form I-360 and I-765 did not show any updates, it started to seem weird since we filled them concurrently and were supposed to be updated together (for what I knew at that time), so I asked my lawyer, she just said that it was matter of time until they update them, so I waited patiently until March 28th when I finally decide to attend to her office to collect all my notifications and found out that she did not notified me about other biometric appointment on November 30th.
I feel really disappointed about her and hopeless, I already wrote a letter to the Vawa office explaining my situation, and the only concern I have is, Will they use my I-485 fingerprints for my form I-360, or will they just close my case? as today they did not close it yet. and finally Will they still adjudicate my I-131 and I-485? Or Will they just wait until my Vawa approval to finally adjudicate them?
Thanks,

What does "Your case has moved forward in the process. USCIS officials will determine whether an interview is necessary." mean?
I-485 filing based on I-140 EB1a. Have been waiting for more than 540 days. Current status: finger prints were taken.
I recently contacted USCIS about my 485 and received this reply "Recently you contacted us regarding the status of your pending application or petition. USCIS systems indicate that we are actively reviewing your application, and nothing is outstanding at this time. Your case has moved forward in the process. USCIS officials will determine whether an interview is necessary. "
However, my case status hasn't changed. Is this just a default template reply? What does "Your case has moved forward in the process. " mean?Thank you! #I-485 #EB1A

question on terminated work permit
so to make a very longgggg story short, I have a green card at the moment which was granted to me back in 2015. unfortunately according to USCIS my green card was not and is not valid to become a US Citizenship, so they let me keep it thank God. I started a new process with my wife to get a new green arc as is the only route to get one. My Work permit and travel doc was denied and terminated, and still have not gotten the notice. My lawyer and I are assuming it got terminated because of the fact that I’m working and can travel with this GreenCard. has anyone experienced the same or similar? #i-130 #newgreencard #i-485 #ead
USCIS Credit Card Transaction- took money from my account and then refunded it back
Has anyone experienced the USCIS taking money for processing from your bank and then reversed it back? This is for my Concurrent filing application for EB1-A. Anyone have any idea, please? I have spoken to the credit card company, they told me they approved the transaction and it was USCIS that reversed the payment.#greencard #EB1 #I-485 #concurrentfiling #filingfees #EAD #EB2
