After submitting all the forms they need to adjust my status (visitor to permanent resident) on Oct 2, 2020, I waited for 1 year and 12 days to finally get my green card. I had the green card interview on Oct 5, 2021. I got my combo (EAD+advance parole) about a couple of weeks before the interview. It’s pretty much useless when I got it cuz they didn’t send me the Social Security Card that I asked for when I filled out the form I-765. After going to the interview on Oct 5, my green card has arrived in the mailbox on Oct 12, 2021. Interview Questions She asked me why I changed my name? Also asked some of the questions from I-485 for eligibility. Asked for the originals of my name change dox. She asked my husband about himself of where he was born, his birthday, name etc. (You read it right, she asked my husband about himself, not me.) And ask to see if we have anymore proof of relationship. I got about 20 more pics since I submitted my case (mostly me, my husband and his family.) Rental agreement, tax return, plane tickets from the past. I had 2 big bags of cards we gave each other (she didn’t bother to read them. lol). Since my husband and I have been married for 4 years, (and we were abroad until Covid hit, that’s the reason I still can’t go home and had to adjust my status) I will automatically get a 10 year green card. The end. #caseapprove #greencard #EAD #workpermit #advanceparole #1year12days
