after 2years 8months, my i-130 finally got approved
It took 2years and 8months to get this result. It was trully endless waiting. I saw the ppl whining how long they are waiting for their i-130 to get approved and they’ve only been waiting 100days☠️☠️☠️ You gotta be more patient in the jorney. But my case was really rare&unfortune one so don’t get scared. You’ll get your sooner than mine. way way sooner.
anyways
I’ve tried everything you could think with USCIS. And here’s my experience&personal opinion abt each thing.
1. uscis contact center : Useless. Everytime I call there, every representetive provide different&wrong information. So it was even more confusing. They can’t even informed me right about which service center my case located at. One day they said california, one day they said nebraska, one day hawaii☠️
2. ask for tier 2 / tier2 call back : also useless. they never called me back. They said tier 2 will call in 30business days. So i patiently waited, but they never called me, they only sent email that says there’s nothing they can update abt my case so they have no reason to call me back. 🤷🏽♀️
3. ombusman : also useless. never heard back from them.
4. case inqury : also useless. I’ve submit a lot of case iqury because my case was way way wayyyyyy out of normal processing timeline, but it always says just wait🙃
5. senator : It helped even tho it took more than a year to get reply from them. I sent case assistance request to the senator on august 2021, they replied to me in september 2022. But it definitely helped. I sent them the papers they asked me on 28th september 2022, and USCIS reviewed my case on 29th september 2022. Unfortunatley, i got rfe but as soon as i sent the papers, they approved my case in a week. So it is fair to say it was helpful.
6. Mandamus : I actully sent writ of mandamus to USCIS. I t was served on 26th september, 2022. So i’m not sure which one was more helpful madamus or the senator but i think it was the senator. Because my lawyer said USCIS replied about mandamus after they sent me rfe basically says “we’ve already sent rfe. so check the rfe notice and send them what we need, then we will review it in 30days and give you answer”
I hope this is helpful for you out there who is strugling waiting more than the usuall timeline for i-130get approved.

Hi guys! N400 approved while I751 was/is still pending. NYC field office
Hi guys! Here's an update, so today I had my N400 interview while I751 was/is still pending. My spouse came with me of course. The officer ask my spouse how we met & after it was pretty much a conversation. Then he moved on to the civics test:
Which day is the last to file federal taxes?
Who sign bills?
Who vetoes bills?
Who is the vice president?
Who is the Speaker of the House?
What do we pledge when we become a citizen of the US?
Reading: What state has the most people?
Writing: California has the most people.
The officer then said congratulations you passed. Then he told me he will be recommending both cases for approval. He went back to his computer and updated my N400 which now shows Oath Ceremony to be scheduled. He wanted to approve the I751 same time from his computer but couldn't (I'm guessing), he said it has to be done on a "different system," whatever that is. He handed me a letter with 'recommended for approval' checked and said I should receive the notice for Oath ceremony in 3 weeks. Sorry for the typos.

national benefits center
hi,
just chatted with emma to enquire about my pending i-485. I received medical rfe from sam bernardino FO in California in august and responded in September. my case is stuck at CRP since September 14. my case was originally at national benifits center. my case is eb2-niw
emma told me that my case is currently at the national benifits center, although I haven't received any transfer notice.
my question is, is this emma service accurate and reliable? why would they transfer my case again to national benefits center? anyone with the same experience?
What time does USCIS process approval for 485 cases at NBC?
I'm in California and regularly check how many cases are approved during the daytime, but wondering exactly what time do they work on the cases. So that I don't need to check status any more after they complete their work on each day.
Could anybody give me any idea? And sometimes I can see some approvals on Saturday, I don't know what they mean.
