EAD Renewal
I have been granted asylum in May 2022. My EAD expired FEB 2022 along with my driver’s license and I went to local DMV to renew my driver’s license with I-94 stamp asylum granted indefinitely and my I-485 application being pending for almost a year at that time. They gave me a hard time but eventualy accepted my files and said they will issue a new DL, and gave me a temporary one as usual, however it has been more than a month and I still did not receive the plastic in my mail. What should I do? Should I renew my EAD again in order for the state to issue a DL to me? I really don’t want to pay another $400+ fee for it, I am self employed I don’t need to show EAD to anyone and with the asylum granted I am allowed to work 🤷‍♀️Have anyone been in the same situation? TIA

40 days after Approval. Green Card yet to be produced.
who would have thought I would still be surfing and checking lawfully app daily even 40 days after approval. Am sure this situation of unproduced Green Card is not unique to myself alone, I have seen someone whose card hasn’t been produced 50 days after approval and myself I was approved Feb 20 and yet no green card produced. To folks in the same shoe, I advise you opt for a temporary stamp i551, I have an appointment at my local field office this Thursday for the stamp and that can be used to travel and also serves as evidence of permanent residence. I also asked my local gun shop and they said they’ll take it for evidence of permanent residence to purchase a firearm, as far as that’s possible, I really don’t care when they deliver the card at this point.
