Case Approved
GC interview
Our interview was today. Houston field office. PD 2020. approved on the spot. status changed to producing card
he didn’t ask a lot of questions
asked my husband all the yes or no questions from the application. verified our address. he said our paperwork was complete and he could tell by our photos that our marriage was genuine as he could see more gray hair in each picture (we have been married 18 years)
he asked about our middle son who is in the Airforce, and if we liked Singapore (our last location)
he said he would try and get our packet processed today, but that he was going on holiday tomorrow so it may not get processed until he comes back. I was happy to see he got it processed today
good luck to everyone. it’s been a long 16 months. I’m glad we’re done

No updates or letter after passing my N400 interview
I already passed my citizenship interview a week ago and still dont see any updates in my uscis online account or any letter to my mailbox.
My uscis status remain the same as before I went to the interview.
Anyone with the same situation with any advice?
Case has been moved from “Case was received” to “ Case is approved” @TSC in 172 days.
I got my I-129 approval notice today saying case is approved. it took around 172 days to get this updated status from the previous status “Case was received”. This is my 3rd extension longest waiting experience but patience is the key.. I didn’t do anything extra other than extension request. In my all previous extensions it was not more than 2 months but given all my previous good experience and vivid situation patiently waited. . thanks

Unusual RFE delayed it. But at the end it got corrected.
They gave RFE for latest passport but there was no new passport made so had to send the same passport and they approved. Not sure if other had something similar situation.

Interview experience: Chicago field office
The interview office/place is on the third floor of the building. Was called for the interview after 15-20 mins of waiting.
The officer was friendly. The interview took less than 15 minutes. Reviewed my name, dob, employment status, current address. Asked yes/no questions related to taxes, involvement with any organisation, genocide etc and then the last 6 yes questions.
