Finally got my duplicate I 797 after filing I 824 and then waiting for 18 months.

My i797 was lost by USCIS after they sent it using USPS service. For some odd reason they said it's your fault that you didn't get it and I was asked to file form i824 to receive a duplicate copy of an already approved i797. I filed it in November of 2020. It was received by USCIS in December 2020. My filedate was January 2021 and I was notified by USCIS that I will receive a duplicate copy of the form in June 2022.

Finally, after 104 days card approved. My I called on Friday and request expedite and today case updated to card is being produced. I'll patiently wait for my card to arrive. There is still hope.
