I-485 status is stuck at “interview is scheduled” (already completed interview)
We had our interview on may 2nd, 2024. USCIS status has been stuck at “interview is scheduled”. all other cases are closed. We called Uscis twice—wasn’t helpful at all. the first time they gave us a referral number, it took a month for them to process the ticket, and then another month later, got a generic email saying there is nothing for us to do at this time.
Any thoughts on this? We don’t have an attorney. At the end of the interview, the officer said they he couldn’t decide our case at this time. did not say anything else. we provided all kinds of documentation they requested but haven’t heard back on my I-485 since. I was on F-1 visa doing STEM OPT and now I’ve switched to a different job using my Green Card EAD. my husband is a US citizen and I am a Turkish citizen and I have been in the US since 2018 (went to college here and have been working here on OPT).

Good day everyone, my son case was expedite from nvc to Lagos, and the expedite was received by the consular office and the case say ready for interview since October last year,up till now no interview date.and why the case was expedite is because he will be turning 18yrs in February .l have sent an email, l have called. Till date response, l am worried for him not to miss his benefits before he turns 18yrs.
My travel experience using my Advance Parole yesterday January 26th
Good day Family. Just a quick one about my experience using AP yesterday. I left for the UK 🇬🇧 on the 21st and just came back to the states with my AP yesterday (26th). through JFK airport .The CBP only asked me where I was coming from and I said London. Took my fingerprints and told me my passport would need to be stamped and I told her am fully aware. Called an officer, gave him my passport and Combo card. Took me to a room for the second inspection. I was out of there in less than 10 minutes. No questions asked at all. But when I went to the baggage claim to retrieve my luggage, an officer with a badge not on uniform approached me and asked where I was coming from and I said London. Checked my passport and gave it right back to me and I asked him if if everything was good and he said you are good! So from my experience, Advance Parole is safe as long as you have a pending case. Even if they stop you at the airport , as long as you have a pending case, you are Legal. Am planning another trip to Europe in June! 🕺🏼
