BAD NEWS
Hello people, just wanted to share my experience. I received some really bad news about my case. I applied for VAWA and USCIS made a huge error. For some reason they placed me in a SIJS case. I don't know how can they mess up so bad like that given my age. I'm from the year 1988, there is no way I can be placed on a SIJS case, so as you can see my timeline, I've been waiting over 3 years for nothing. My lawyer just sent the 3rd package because the second one USCIS rejected it saying they 'updated' the form so we had to file for a 3rd time and I think I will start the process again. My friends, I tried everything: sending letters, e-mails, congress woman, calling USCIS customer service and no answer. I guess wait another 3 or 4 years. USCIS will not admit an error they made so only resend forms. I'm so glad for everyone else who are getting their approvals, but also do know that USCIS makes mistakes and they will not be responsible for them. I'm still hoping something good will come out of this. Thank you for hearing me out. I will keep you updated it on this.

No sé cómo puedieron haber cometido un error tan grave debido a mi edad. Soy de 1988 y no hay forma de que me asignen un caso SIJS, así que, como pueden ver en mi cronología, llevo más de tres años esperando para nada. Mi abogado acaba de enviar el tercer paquete porque el segundo USCIS lo rechazó diciendo que habían "actualizado" el formulario, así que tuvimos que presentarlo por tercera vez y creo que volveré a empezar el proceso. Amigos, lo intenté todo: enviar cartas, correos electrónicos, contactar con una congresista, llamar al servicio de atención al cliente de USCIS y no obtuve respuesta. Supongo que tendré que esperar otros tres o cuatro años. USCIS no admitirá ningún error, así que solo reenviaré los formularios. Me alegro mucho por todos los demás que están recibiendo sus aprobaciones, pero también sepan que USCIS comete errores y no se responsabiliza de ellos. Sigo esperando que esto tenga un buen resultado. Gracias por escucharme. Los mantendré informados.

Finally interview scheduled
Hi everyone
I have my I-485 and I-130 interview scheduled for April 14th. I’m a bit nervous and would love to hear from anyone who has gone through the process recently. What kind of questions should I expect, and do you have any tips to help prepare for the interview?

Case Reopened
The I-140 form was approved in February 2023.
We filled for I-485 and I-765 in July 2024 when the date was current.
In October 8th we got the case “approved” and then “reopened” the next day. It has been reopened since then. We have submitted multiple requests, call them and nothing changes. After 8 months we don’t even have the EAD cards.
Is there anyone who has gone through the same experience?

I received RFE and it is requesting the proof of divorce of my husband’s first marriage. I now have that proof.
my questions:
1. do I just submit the cover letter they provided and the divorce decree (single copy?)
2. is it ok to just upload online through the link (I don’t need to mail)

Advance parole/ combo card
Hello,
My vawa was approved and I recently responded to the medical RFE. However, I do have an upcoming work trip to South Padre Island in Texas. Upon research I discovered that they are checkpoints on the way back since it’s within 100 miles from the border. My passport is expired, I am wondering if I could go through with my ID and advance parole since it’s within the state of Texas.
Combo card extension in Feb 2025
My combo card (131,1765) extension documents are received by USCIS on Feb 10th. But i didn’t receive any receipt or update. Did anyone have the same scenario??
any update why recent application receipts are getting delayed??
