uscis officer called my lawyer to verify address.
all throughout my vawa journey, all my correspondence has been recieved by my lawyer.
last Friday my lawyer told me someone from USCIS called to verify my address.
vawa was approved June 2025
RFE (medical) was asked for 6 weeks ago and received about 21 days ago.
is this the moment I’ve been waiting for?
my nearest field office would be Santa Ana, Ca.
can anyone share their experience if they’ve been to this Field office.
I am nervous.

I am a USC married to a Canadian citizen who got married in the states but lived in Canada for 11 years. have two kids 10 and 7. we are back in the states now (hubby on L1A visa) , I-130 and I-485 submitted at the same time.
we did the biometric and responded to the RFE in April. it’s been silent since then.
is it possible for the interview to be be waived since we have been married for 12 years with two kids?

the wait is over! my I 130 was approved yesterday 8/13/2025 then me I 485 was approved today! they did not give me any notification about approving my I485 I was logged in today since yesterday they approved my I 130.
they even transferred my case to Texas and I did not even know that, after approval I saw the new location. I was originally in Vermont. Thank God ! half my journey is finished 😇🥳🥳

RFE and interview
hey guys!
my PD is May/21. I received a medical RFE and a week later I received the interview notice. I already did the medical exams (it was expired) and then sent to USCIS (now I am waiting for them to receive it). now just waiting for the interview.
someone in the same situation? I filled the sup J two years ago and I am still working for the sponsor.

Hello, I received an email 2 days ago saying that USCIS has taken action on my case. However, when I checked, there was nothing new in the documents tab. I called USCIS, and they told me that “this update means your interview has been requested.” The thing is, we haven’t even received an approval notice for our I-130 yet. Any ideas on what’s going on?

it’s been almost 4 weeks since my case was transferred to New Jersey Central Field Office and there has been no update on the API ever since any idea how long can this take until uscis gives their decision? Also I live in Connecticut wondering why has it gone to NJ?
How was the hearing on 08/13 about defferred action?
I hear that there is a hearing about deferred action on 08/13 anyone know the result? is here anything we can do about it?
The purpose of SIJ is to protect children who have been abused, abandoned, or neglected. Without the protection of deferred action, they cannot keep their work permit, and during the long visa backlog there is no safeguard, which goes against the original purpose. Is the reason for not issuing deferred action now because of the need for stricter screening for terrorists? But deferred action is issued together with the I-360, and the background check — which determines whether someone is a terrorist — is done before deciding the I-360. If the I-360 can be approved, why isn’t deferred action granted? Or is this policy actually meant to align with the federal government’s deportation strategy, so that now even if the I-360 is approved, SIJ applicants still have no legal protection to stay in the U.S.?

I730 follow to join asylee banned after travel ban
my husband filed an i730 follow to join asylee case for me to join him. I went to the interview August 13 and my case was denied due to 212(f) president travel ban proclamation. Does anyone know of any cases that were approved after the travel ban? also if anyone has a FTJ-asylee case from travel ban country can we connect?
