EAD - Texas - I-765 - Employment Based Approved
After 12 months of waiting my EAD card was approved today. I expedited in November after loosing my job and it was denied. Last week I got an job offer and expedite again and this time it was Approved.
PD date March , 2nd 2021. NIW. Texas. SCR2190177…#Ead #Texas #765
Card is being produced!!!
Thank you God!
I’m very thankful for this community and your support!
Posting this to help others and to give you hope!
Whenever you feel you want to give up please keep pushing
My timeline:
RD 02/19/2021
12/03 SR for out of normal processing times and they replied saying keep waiting 39 days later
12/03 Expedite request over the phone based on personal financial loss. Denied 30 days later without asking for proof.
01/17 Expedite request through congressman based on personal and company financial loss. Expedite request denied on 02/04. Provided company supporting letter and bank statement. No cover letter.
01/17 Reached to Ombudsman and they replied on 02/10 saying they have a backlog and haven’t been able to reach out to USCIS
01/20 Expedite request through senator. They reached to USCIS and USCIS never replied
02/02 Tier 2 Agent callback. Requested by me over the phone with agent. Took them 20 days to call me. They will email you 2 days before the call. Keep your phone next to you at all times. Ask if your case has been assigned to an officer and you can also ask status of expedite requests among other things. Agent said I would hear back about my expedite request in 2 days and she was right.
02/04 2nd SR for out of normal processing times. No response
Called USCIS every day for 3 weeks. Side note: learned that tier 1 agents don’t have access to see the status of expedite requests raised through congressional offices/ senator
02/10 Reached again to congressman (4 days after receiving the response from USCIS saying my expedite got denied). I lost my job because my extension expired so I decided to give it another shot. Drafted 27 pages including more evidence. Expedite request was based on personal and company financial loss Congressman reached out yesterday again to USCIS and received response today saying my expedite request got approved.
Status changed to Card is being produced 2 hrs after that.
Update:
02/18: Card received!!
Lessons learned:
Expedite requests from congressman/ senator work! Congressman are usually less busy and takes them less time to raise the expedite request on your behalf than Senator.
I spoke with a tier 2 officer in an online seminar and she said multiple expedite request won’t delay your case. If you have an urgent reason to expedite do it, if it gets denied keep pushing. Try to include more evidence and explain your circumstances in more detail.
I know the process and the waiting is very overwhelming try to keep yourself busy and keep pushing!
I hope you find this information helpful and that your case gets approved soon!
