my ead status show new card is being produced. i was able to download the approval letter and it shows the EAD is valid for 2 years. I have few questions:
1. does this mean my AP is also valid for 2 years?
2. normally ead for IR-1 category is given for one year, should I be little concerned for a 2 year EAD, does it signal any delays in interview schedule ?

4 days more then it’ll be a whole year since I applied for a renewal of my EAD/work permit since February 2021. I’ve been waiting for the longest time after both my card and the 180 auto extension expired, I’ve been out of work for a minute and that is a terrible experience for anyone to ever go through. About a week ago I received a notification that my card is being processed then a few days ago it says the card has been mailed, I couldn’t be happier and hopefully I get it in the mail sooner. Guys don’t give up, things might not be moving as fast as you want it to be but you’ll soon get there!! Good luck to everyone!!!!

Birth Certificate requirement
Hello, we filed an Adjustment of Status through marriage, my wife (who is the citizen), cannot find her birth certificate, she has everything else including her passport and naturalization documents. Will this be a problem if we attend the interview without it? Has anyone else been in a similar position who recently attended an interview?

My I-130 was approved and sent to NVC 1/4/22. NVC sent receipt of petition 1/8/22. I submitted AOS and fee 1/13/22 and my husbands DS-260 and fee 1/14/22. Our PD is 5/11/21. We are still waiting for DQ notice and interview. I learned that NVC is just a holding place until the petition is closer to PD. I am hopeful to receive information soon.
