it was my extension request.
I have always been the lucky one for the EAD process.. my first EAD was approved in 3weeks. this time, my extension request was approved in just 3months.. while everyone waits for a year.
I just wish my 485 were the one being approved instead. TSC… texas.. what can I say?
been waiting for my 485 to be approved since Nov 2nd 2020.
but.. at least.. I can pretend that I have my legal right to work and stay in this contury for one more year.

EAD + AP approved 🥳
I made an Expedite request through Emma because I’m a registered nurse with a job offer during the pandemic. It got approved after 4 days (no additional documentation needed), and 3 days later the EAD was approved. Thank God 🙏

get ssn after ead
We recieved very first EAD last Friday 2/11, it had been sent to production Fri 2/4 and approved Mon 2/7. My question now is how long until we should expect the ssn card in the mail?

My current EAD (OPT) was about to expire in March and I cannot explain the amount of pressure I felt throughout this process.
I strongly recommend keeping up with Reddit and also with this community.
Filed for expedite twice. Once through Emma; denied because fingerprints were not taken. Second time through congressman; got an update on Monday that they would work give me a decision on my expedite but couldn’t give me a time frame.
Today, got the notice of card being produced.
Anyone aware of how long it takes to get the card in hands once it’s being produced?

EAD Extension approved
I finally got an update this morning that my new card (extension) is being produced. What’s interesting is, that the expedite request was originally denied, the one for AOS is still pending. No matter what, it’s good news. My 180 days are up on 02/22.
And of course those news came the day after I returned from Canada to get my L2 status updated to L2S to give me a few more weeks (I-94 is currently expiring in April). But it’s good the card is coming too as it will give me a bit more time now.
