F1 to GC
Hello, Lawfully family,
I got married while I was F1 visa student and now I received my GC and also I have OPT. My school DSO said I need to send her all my approval letters so that she can send them to SEVIS. She said I have few days before I be out of status. could someone explain this to me please! I received my GC but my approval notices got delayed I don’t know how……

you got your gc then you’re a resident now. you can send all the documents along with the copy of your gc card and then ask him/her if they need anything else.

if you have a green card already, you cannot be out of status unless the green card expires and you dont renew it

since you’re a GC holder you will not be out of status. just ask them to cancel your I20
