i765 EAD approved
married to USC: my ead status show new card is being produced. i was able to download the approval letter and it shows the EAD is valid for 2 years. I have few questions: 1. does this mean my AP is also valid for 2 years? 2. normally ead for IR-1 category is given for one year, should I be little concerned for a 2 year EAD, does it signal any delays in interview schedule ? thanks

this is one of the strategies USCIS is deploying to clear backlogs. It will ease them from renewals within a year. however, this will have no bearing on your I-485 as you could be scheduled for interview when it’s due depending on how fast your field office is working.

no they extended all EADs starting from June to 2 years instead of 1 year to get rid of backlogs, who knows if it’s gonna back to 1 year for future applications

@Sydney S, it says case was received and a receipt notice was sent. I am seeing people getting non combo cards ☹️
