So I guess the wait is finally over?

Alright, the process has been extremely long, frustrating and sometimes heartbreaking when I couldn’t go back home to say my goodbyes to a loved one. But I think this chapter of my life is coming to an end. I kept track of every updates I got, hopefully they will be useful to some members of this community (see below). Good luck to everyone reading this post, I know how frustrating this is. - January 19 2022: USCIS received my file (priority date) - January 28 2022: biometrics appointment has been scheduled (i485 & i765) - February 25 2022: biometrics. Case actively reviewed by USCIS (i485 & i765) - June 29 2022: request for evidence was sent (i485 & i765) - July 5 2022: request for evidence received at home; send additional information about i864 - August 8 2022: we sent the documents to USCIS - August 10 2022: USCIS updated to response to RFE received (i485 & i765) + EAD card is being produced (i765) - August 15 2022: we received the notification at home saying the EAD has been approved + « card was produced » - August 16 2022: card was picked up by USPS (tracking number provided) - August 19 2022: EAD received (doesn’t grant re entry to the US) - January 17 2023: i130 actively reviewing - February 15 2023: i131 outside of normal processing time. I sent a request online - May 23 2023: answer to the online request: “Due to workload factors not related to your case, USCIS anticipates a delay in completing your case” - October 5 2023: attorney submitted another service request - November 28 2023: since still no answer from USCIS, attorney submitted a third service request - December 1st 2023: submitted an emergency request (because of a family member being at the hospital - December 5 2023: Call from USCIS, I informed them that the family member had passed away and that I needed to go back to my home country by 12/8/23 to attend the funeral. There were no appointments available in my field office so the officer said he would escalate and re-contact me - December 6 2023: Still no appointments available. Because of the lack of appointment availability, I wouldn’t make it on time for the funeral and my emergency request got denied (cause being with my family after someone died isn’t an emergency). In lieu of emergency request, the officer told me I could ask for an expedite request of my initial i131 request (received by USCIS on 1/19/22) - I said yes and received confirmation by email within a few hours - January 25 2024: received an email from USCIS telling me my expedite request for my i131 is under review - January 30 2024: expedite request for i131 got approved - February 1st 2024: advance parole document was produced - February 6 2024: advance parole document received, valid for 5 years - February 12 2024: application for employment authorization received by USCIS (renewal) - February 19 2024: I765 (EAD renewal) case updated to show fingerprints were taken - July 30 2024: I485 case is being actively reviewed - August 7 2024: i765 (EAD renewal): new card is being produced - August 8 2024: i765 (EAD renewal): case was approved - August 13 2024: i765 (EAD renewal): received the letter at home saying the document has been approved (valid for 5 years) - August 14 2024: i765 (EAD renewal): card was mail to me - September 26 2024: i130 actively reviewing (for the second time) - September 27 2024: i485 & i130 approved
