Lawfully, Inc. ("us", "we", "our", or "Lawfully") operates websites, applications, services and mobile applications on/in which this Privacy Policy is posted or referenced (the "Service").

This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information when you use our Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. You also accept Google Privacy Policy as Lawfully uses YouTube API Services and are subject to Google Privacy Policy. Unless otherwise defined, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms of Service. If you do not agree with the terms, do not access or use the Service or any other aspect of our business.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and:

1. Log Data

When you access the Service, we may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, (1) IP address; (2) domain server; (3) type of device(s) used to access the Service; (4) web browser(s) used to access the Service; (5) referring webpage or other source through which you accessed the Service; (6) geolocation information; and (7) other statistics and information associated with the interaction between your browser or device and the Service (collectively “Log Data”). Depending on applicable law, some Log Data may be Personal Information.

2. Cookies, Tracking Tools, Behavioral Advertising, and Opt Out Options

Cookies are files with a small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a web site and transferred to your device. We use cookies to collect information in order to improve our services for you.

You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. The Help feature on most browsers provide information on how to accept cookies, disable cookies or to notify you when receiving a new cookie.

If you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some features of our Service and we recommend that you leave them turned on.

Tracking Tags: “Tracking Tags” (a.k.a. clear GIFs or pixel tags) are tiny graphic image files embedded in a web page or email that may be used to collect information about the use of our Service, the websites of selected advertisers and the emails, special promotions or newsletters that we send. The information collected by Tracking Tags allows us to analyze how many people are using the Service, using selected publishers’ websites or opening emails, and for what purpose, and also allows us to enhance our interest-based advertising (discussed further below).

Web Service Analytics: We may use third-party analytics services in connection with the Service, including, for example, to register mouse clicks, mouse movements, scrolling activity and text typed into the Site. We use the information collected from these services to help make the Service easier to use. These analytics services generally do not collect Personal Information unless you voluntarily provide it and generally do not track your browsing habits across web services that do not use their services.

Mobile Device Identifiers: As with other Tracking Tools, mobile device identifiers help Lawfully learn more about our users’ demographics and internet behaviors in order to personalize and improve the Service. Mobile device identifiers are data stored on mobile devices that may track mobile device and data and activities occurring on and through it, as well as the applications installed on it. Mobile device identifiers enable collection of Personal Information (such as media access control, address and location) and Log Data.

3. Information Collection And Use

When you use the Service, we collect certain information from you which can be used to contact or identify you, including, but not limited to, your name, gender, date of birth, telephone number, postal address, and email address (“Identity Information”). If you pay a fee for the Service, we will collect additional payment and billing information from you, including, but not limited to, your credit/debit card information or bank account information (“Billing Information”). When using the Service you may be required to provide information or documents necessary for the preparation or filing of forms or applications to be submitted to government agencies, and if you file an application, we may receive from the government a unique receipt number assigned to your application (“Application Information”). Together, your Identity Information, Billing Information, Application Information are referred to as "Personal Information".

Generally, no one is under a statutory or contractual obligation to provide any Personal Information. However, certain Personal Information is collected automatically and, if some of the Personal Information are not provided, we may be unable to provide the Service. You agree that any information that you may reveal in a review posting, online discussion or forum is intended for the public and is not in any way private. Carefully consider whether to disclose any Personal Information in any public posting or forum. Your submission may be seen and/or collected by third parties and may be used by others in ways we are unable to control or predict.

4. How We Use Information

We use the collected Personal Information in furtherance of our legitimate interests in operating our Service. More specifically, we use the information:

1) To provide, update, maintain and protect our Service and business: This includes use of Personal Information to support delivery of the Service, prevent or address service errors, security or technical issues, analyze and monitor usage, trends and other activities. 2) As required by applicable law, legal process or regulation. 3) To communicate with you by responding to your requests, comments and questions: If you contact us, we may use your Personal Information to respond. 4) To develop and provide search, learning and productivity tools and additional features: We try to make the Service as useful as possible for Immigrants, Lawyers, Users, Firms, Companies, and Organizations. 5) To send emails and other communications: We may send you service, technical and other administrative emails, messages, and other types of communications. We may also contact you to inform you about changes in our Service, our Service offerings, and important Service-related notices, such as security and fraud notices. These communications are considered part of the Service and you may not opt out of them. In addition, we send emails about new product features, promotional communications or other news about Lawfully. 6) For billing, account management and other administrative matters: We may need to contact you for invoicing, account management, and similar reasons and we use account data to administer accounts and keep track of billing and payments. 7) To investigate and help prevent security issues and abuse: If the Personal Information is aggregated or de-identified so that it is no longer reasonably associated with an identified or identifiable natural person, we may use it for any business purpose.

5. Do Not Track Disclosure

Do Not Track (“DNT”) is a preference you can set in your web browser to inform websites that you do not want to be tracked.

You can enable or disable DNT by visiting the Preferences or Settings page of your web browser. Lawfully does not respond to DNT signals from web browsers.

6. Service Providers

We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service, to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services and/or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

These third parties have access to your Personal Information only to perform specific tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use your information for any other purpose.

In certain circumstances, and in order to perform the Service, we may share certain information that we collect from you with Legal Service Providers with whom you choose to schedule through the Service. Provided that you choose to use the applicable Service, we may share your Personal Information with your Legal Service Providers to enable them to perform analyses on potential legal issues. Please note: we encourage Legal Service Providers to use the Service responsibly, but we have no control over, and cannot guarantee the availability of, any Legal Service Provider at any particular time. We will not be liable for cancelled or otherwise unfulfilled appointments, or any loss resulting therefrom, or for any other loss resulting or arising from, or related to, the use of the Service whatsoever.

We do not sell email addresses to third parties. We may share your Personal Information with our affiliations to customize or display our advertising.

7. How Long We Retain Your Information

We retain Personal Information about you for as long as you have an open account with us or as otherwise necessary to provide you the Service. In some cases we retain Personal Information for longer, if doing so is necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes or collect fees owed, prevent fraud, enforce the agreement, or as otherwise permitted or required by applicable law, rule or regulation. Afterwards, we retain some information in a de-identified or aggregated form but not in a way that would identify you personally.

8. Procedure for Lawfully Account Deletion and Data Removal

To remove your account and all associated data from Lawfully Case Status Tracker, please reach out to our support team at help@lawfully.com, and we will guide you through the process. After we receive your request, we will ensure that all your immigration case details and personal account information are promptly and securely erased from our system.

Additionally, you have the option to delete your account directly through the app by following these steps:

  • Navigate to the 'More' tab.

  • Enter 'Settings'.

  • Select 'Delete Account'.

  • Provide a reason for account deletion and confirm.

This action will immediately remove your data and account from the app, and will also notify us to permanently delete your immigration case and personal account information from our records.

9. Compliance With Laws

We will disclose your Personal Information where required to do so by law or subpoena or if we believe that such action is necessary to comply with the law and the reasonable requests of law enforcement or to protect the security or integrity of our Service.

10. Business Transaction

If Lawfully is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, your Personal Information may be transferred as a business asset.

11. Where We Store Information

Our sites are generally operated in the United States. If you are located outside of the United States, please be aware that any information you provide to us may be transferred to the United States. Please also be aware that by using our sites and giving us your information, you consent to such transfer. You also understand that the U.S. may not provide the same level of protections as the laws of your country.

12. Security

The security of your Personal Information is important to us, and we strive to implement and maintain reasonable, commercially acceptable security procedures and practices appropriate to the nature of the information we store, in order to protect it from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure.

However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100 percent secure and we are unable to guarantee the absolute security of the Personal Information we have collected from you.

Our Service may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third party link, you will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit.

We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.

14. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for use by children and children under the age of 13 are prohibited from using the Service. Lawfully does not knowingly collect any information from children, nor is the Service directed to children. If you are under 13, please do not attempt to register for the Service or send any Personal Information about yourself to us.

By accessing, using and/or submitting information to or through the Service, you represent that you are not younger than age 13. If we learn that we have received any information directly from a child under age 13 without his/her parent’s written consent, we will use that information only to respond directly to that child (or his/her parent or legal guardian) to inform the child that he/she cannot use the Service, and we will subsequently delete that information. If you believe that a child under 13 may have provided us Personal Information, please contact us at help@lawfully.com.

If you are between age 13 and the age of majority in your place of residence, you may use the Service only with the consent of or under the supervision of your parent or legal guardian. If you are a parent or legal guardian of a minor child, you may use the Service on behalf of such minor child. Any information that you provide us while using the Service on behalf of your minor child will be treated as Personal Information as otherwise provided herein.

If you use the Service on behalf of another person, regardless of age, you agree that Lawfully may contact you for any communication made in connection with providing the Service or any legally required communications. You further agree to forward or share any such communication with any person for whom you are using the Service on behalf.

15. Changes To This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update or change our Privacy Policy at any time and you should check this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Service after we post any modifications to the Privacy Policy on this page will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy.

If we make any material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you either through the email address you have provided us, or by placing a prominent notice on mobile app and/or our website.

16. Notice to Residents of California

California consumers have a right to knowledge, access, and deletion of their personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act. California consumers also have a right to opt out of the sale of their personal information by a business and a right not to be discriminated against for exercising one of their California privacy rights. Lawfully does not sell the personal information of California consumers and does not discriminate in response to privacy rights requests.

Lawfully provides notice of our privacy practices in our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy includes what personal information is collected, the source of the personal information, and the purposes of use, as well as whether Lawfully discloses that personal information and if so, the categories of third parties to whom it is disclosed..

California consumers can exercise their rights by sending an email to help@lawfully.com. In response to such a request, Lawfully has the right to ask you for information which we consider necessary to verify your identity for security and to prevent fraud. This information may include name, contact information, and information related to your transaction or relationship with Lawfully, but the specific information requested may differ depending on the circumstances of your request for your security and to protect privacy rights.

17. Notice to Residents of the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland, and UK

The purposes for which Lawfully processes Personal Information are set forth in this Privacy Policy. Where you provide us your personal data to register for the Service, to request information, the legal basis for such data processing is consent, a legitimate interest in the Service and/or performance of a contract. Our activities are reasonably expected by our users. And these activities do not unduly and negatively affect the privacy rights of our users. If you are a resident of EEA, Switzerland, or the UK, in certain cases, you may also have a right, with respect to your Personal Information collected and used by Lawfully to:

  • correct or update any of your Personal Information that is inaccurate;
  • restrict or limit the ways in which we use your Personal Information;
  • object to the processing of your Personal Information;
  • request the deletion of your Personal Information; and
  • obtain a copy of your Personal Information in an easily accessible format.
