I wouldn’t pay that just for a lawyer to sit at my interview just sit with your spouse an review a list of questions officers usually ask there is a lot of help in this group too from people who already did there interview

my case is simple, it's just a marriage status adjustment

I was about to hire my lawyer last week, and I’m glad that I didn’t. The officer didn’t ask any questions at all, she just went straight forward to my i485 questions of YES or NO, 2 days after my case was approved.

@Clara T. listen every case is different. Every officer is different. I’m just leave it at that cause if you get a shitty officer who had a bad day and just wants to be an an ass, then that’s that if you get an officer who is great easy you have enough proof you have enough evidence you have everything you cross all your all T and i then by all means go ahead, you don’t need one if you had issues from the beginning then you might need to hire a lawyer if you don’t, then don’t do whatever your gut I tell you to do

you dont have to bring a lawyer, you have the right to one but you dont have to hire one! make sure you bring all of your paperwork organized, dress to impress, be on time, bring an interpreter if needed, and be ready for questions about your relationship! it can be simple questions or it can be more detailed questions such as what side of the bed he or she sleeps and things like describe how your house rooms are set up or simply yes or not questions! hey! you DO NOT need the lawyer to attend. Anyways you both are the ones who have to answer the questions and show the documents they request, the lawyer has literally no business in ANY interview.
