Case Remains pending at Field office
I am Eb-2, ROW, PD 11/2022. case was transferred to a non local field office last month. recently I got a notice saying the status changed to case remaining pending due to no visa available. it has been always current to me. any ideas???

@fx tenure @karthik ramakrishna - What’s your receive date? would be very much appreciated if can share timeline . receive date biometrics any RFE when was your case transferred to non local field office when did you learn about no visa available ? was it thru Emma or status got updated

@fx tenure even if you’re current, visa can be unavailable to you as there is a per country limit. if your country has reached the 7% of the total allocated visa for the category, it will be unavailable for that country till the next fiscal year.

that’s weird, If your PD is current according to final action date that means visas are available if you are ROW. Not sure if they are considering per country quota here and probably visas aren’t available for that particular county as quota has been met for this fiscal year? Just my two cents…

@T. G. you are right. I think there on USCIS website there is a list of available or approved visas by category in the form of excel document available. Not sure where did I see that but I don remember I saw that sort of list.

in the same situation. went to CRP when been already current for 4 months for the same reason. also from a country that does not have many applicants

@GC 2024 i485 recieve date - April 1st week 2024, biometrics - April last week 2024, i693 RFE replied by May last week, July second week CPR. I fall under EB2 ROW.

same situation. I’m wondering if uscis incorrectly considered your place of birth vs. your partner and placed it under CRP.

@fx tenure any update? I'm in the same situation. PD current but received the same message. EB1, country CN. it was just transferred to a NJ field office for some reason
