Case Approved
case approved on the spot
It took almost 2 years but finally getting my green card. Good luck out there!! We filled at the Chicago PO Box, I’m not sure why it took so long for my fingerprints and I765. I filed a change of address in 12/2020 so I’m sure that contributed. The RFE was asking supporting evidence for form I864, which we had already submitted. We just resubmitted the exact same things and that worked out. Not sure what happened there. I got the « interview ready to schedule » notification on 12/13/21 and « interview scheduled » on 12/20/21. The interview was on 1/20/22. The interview was not even an interview. The officer barely asked us any question, the whole time was mainly him flipping through our file and marking things down. He asked if we brought evidence and I gave him the folder I had. He quickly flipped through it and just added them to our file without asking any question. It was unbelievably smooth, still not sure how we got so lucky. We have been married for 2 years and 1 week lol, so I got the 10 years green card.
PS: no lawyer was involved

EAD
I just recently received my EAD. Do I have to set an appointment in the SSA office to get an SSN? or do I just have to wait for my SSN card? Do you know how long is the waiting period?

on the spot approval
after 9 months we were interviewed and approved on the spot .
Married November 2020
filed I-130 and I-485 in March 2021
I -130 was approved in May
moved from NJ to CT in Oct 2021 and updated my address with USCIS in November. A week later my interview was Scheduled for Jan 20, 2022 in Hartford CT. Officer interviewed just me. my husband dint even come inside the office. He asked the questions on the I-485 form and then asked me 3 questions: when did we meet? where did we get married? what’s my husband’s date of birth. He went through a few photos, and kept the copies of the documents I brought— bank statements from the first four months of opening the joint account and the most recent four months statements, so 8 in all, purchase agreement for our house as we haven’t received the deed as yet, our baby’s birth certificate, homeowners insurance policy, life insurance listing me as beneficiary, utility bills, credit card bill listing me as authorized user, basically anything with both our names on it, I even brought our Costco executive membership cards.
so just bear in mind you have to show that you have combined your assets and pictures wiith you at family gatherings like thanksgiving, birthday dinners etc play a big role. it’s not a frightening experience. Wishing everyone on here good luck!
Sending Documents to NVC
I have read this today while I'm doing the DS 260 for my son:
"If your case IS processing electronically, please scan and email your documents to: NVCElectronic@state.gov"
Which documents do we have to send them? as we didn't send my documents through an email, we just submitted them online.

Missing initial on the card
Today, I received my green card for AOS! I have two initials for my middle name. But on the green card, they only put one initial. Is this commond or should I request them to correct it for me? If this needs to be corrected, what form do I need and how much will it cost me?
