1- My I 485 is approved 1 year after my I360. but if you applied for green card during your marriage, that waiting time may also apply for your case and make the process faster 2- Medicals are only valid for 2 years, so you definitely need another one. If you live around NYC/NJ area, I can give you some doctors’ names for medicals. 3-4 Yes, with the new regulations, they’re asking for Covid Vaccination records. The doctor will take this record while preparing your medical letter. So, just take your vaccination card while going to the doctor’s office. But do not send it without them asking, because on my deficiency letter for medicas, they asked me NOT SEND IT without being asked or my case would be delayed. So, you may receive a deficiency letter or RFE for medicals. What was your RFE about? On mine, they asked for my background check and letters from friends stating my moral character, then they waived the interview☺️

Hi Pablo! My RFE was asking for me to prove my “good moral character”. I sent my background check results from all the states I lived in within the past 5 years, my graduate diploma, letters from my professors, employers, friends etc, personal statement explaining my character and achievements. Simply, they wanna believe that you would contribute to the US as a good person.

You are very welcome. Don’t be stressed, you should be fine. I have friends who had to have many RFE’s as well as interviews while they’re still married and petitioning together. I know people who failed on their interviews and went to immigration court. They all still figured it out at the end. Just gather all the documents and focus on the details from your daily marriage life which might help. Hotel reservations, gym memberships, wholesale store memberships, invitation cards from friends, even screenshots from text messages. Feel free to ask me in case you have any questions. Meanwhile, I can send my VAWA approval letter to Vermont Centre while waiting for their RFE on my I-485 which I definitely know it will be about medical and Covid-19 vaccine records. And for my RFE on VAWA they asked me the same question as yours which I submitted since 2020 and it got approved 2021. Finally, I’m in not in NY/NJ area and can you asked your medical doctor if one need a brand new medical record or simply get a re-issue medical record from the hospital previously done?

Hi A A! thank you so much 😊 They asked me to prove my “good moral character”. I submitted my background checks from the states that I lived, as well as my home country. I submitted my graduate diploma, letters from my employers, professors, close friends who have knowledge about my “good deeds”. I believe that’s why they waived the interview for my case.

A A , my attorney got appointments from IDENTOGO. I went there and gave fingerprints etc. I also got from my country’s consulate. 😊

@joques mercy no, there was not any updates on my I485 for 3 years until the “new card is being produced”. Mine took 14 months after I360 approval. I hope you get yours sooner! I believe it takes less time if you started your green card process and waited before you apply for vawa.

How long does it takes to get EAD on c09 category for i765 filled January currently with i485

EAD usually takes 3-5 months I believe. I received mine (and my renewals) within 3 months. But I am not sure if the Covid pandemic have changed anything.
