so I applied on May 7th 2021. EAD expired on July 11th and extension expired on January 6th. there was no activity on my case till December 20th. I contacted USCIS 3 times for an expedited request and worked with Emma and called the contact center once a day for 2 weeks. I don’t know how or why the case was processed fast, but case status changed within 30 days. went from received to actively reviewing and card is produced within a few weeks. best of luck everyone and if anyone has questions please let me know!

AOS undder 3 months! (H1B to Marriage Based GC)
First of all as a long time lurker I just want to thank everyone for all the input and replies whenever I needed them.
Our status updates to case approved for I485 today and I cannot be more excited to get the GC in mail in the next week or two!
Thank you to all the SFV field office officers and staff for being fair and treating us amazingly.
tip: Sponsor and Beneficiary both registered for USCIS online account and it was SO HELPFUL. Everytime there was an update on the case we got a text + email, therefore we were able to reply to RFE promptly (we did this on the online portal as well instead of mailing) and next day the officer downloaded all the RFE docs and requested interview for us. Most of the notices became immediately available on the portal once mailed and you can download them. (excluding the interview notice but it arrived regardless) And BRING EVERYTHING you can to the interview. The officer was friendly but she did ask for ALL the evidence we had for bona fide marriage and kept all of them.

Marriage based AOS approved!
This went by so fast! I was expecting to wait up to a year! My husband is from Canada, and we live in LA. It seems like the LA office is going really fast at the moment. Questions for the interview were pretty straightforward, and it felt a lot like a pop quiz about our relationship. I got some years wrong, but the officer understood that these past few years are a blur, haha. It was a smooth process for us so far!

Green Card! Yay!
After 15 months of waiting finally the interview day arrived and got an approval on my green card.
All of you who are in this process, hang in there, its a long process and sometimes painful but in the end a good one!

Did my interview yesterday and got approval glory to god. Oat ceremony in two weeks👏👏👏👏 . This is the first time posting on the app. why, I need to share my journey is because I was always looking at y’all post to feel encouraged, hopefull and was always saying to myself that I am not alone which did helped calm me at times…..not saying I wasn’t faithful but sometimes I felt hopeless……Thank you all and I pray for approval for everyone.

please help those at nvc level....is it normal that i paid AOS fee i need to submit AOS form and financial papers before i can pay IV fee,i tried to pay IV fee it keep refering me back to my AOS reciept,IS THIS THESAME WITH OTHERS,I THOUGHT WE HAVE TO PAY BOTH FEES FIRST BEFORE START SUBMITING DOCUMENTS? It took almost 2 years but finally getting my green card. Good luck out there!! We filled at the Chicago PO Box, I’m not sure why it took so long for my fingerprints and I765. I filed a change of address in 12/2020 so I’m sure that contributed. The RFE was asking supporting evidence for form I864, which we had already submitted. We just resubmitted the exact same things and that worked out. Not sure what happened there. I got the « interview ready to schedule » notification on 12/13/21 and « interview scheduled » on 12/20/21. The interview was on 1/20/22. The interview was not even an interview. The officer barely asked us any question, the whole time was mainly him flipping through our file and marking things down. He asked if we brought evidence and I gave him the folder I had. He quickly flipped through it and just added them to our file without asking any question. It was unbelievably smooth, still not sure how we got so lucky. We have been married for 2 years and 1 week lol, so I got the 10 years green card.
