Approved I-765 Renewal!
Feeling so so blessed! Don’t lose faith! Today was my day, tomorrow will be yours!
Mine is based on I-485 and I am F2A priority wise.
Now I did expedite, but on USCIS website there is no tracking of my expedite journey, so no idea if it worked. Sharing in details in case this helps:
-Expedited on December 8th, 2021, through EMMA. Operator asked if I wanted to provide a reason for the Expedite and I said “I have a job and will lose it, and I am working on a very important project for the company” - so financial loss to me and company. I think this might have helped not to shut down the expedite.
-On January 7th, 2022, received an email asking for evidence.
-On January 7th I sent:
— A nice letter explaining my situation: I will lose my salary and health insurance, and that the company would delay a project it had promised to investors
— A letter proving employment, with my salary there
— A screenshot of my monthly expenses tracking on a bank website, to show I need my salary to cover for things
— A copy of my Health Insurance policy
— A letter from my manager explaining that I was running this important project and asking USCIS to expedite my request
-On January 18th I realized UPS had faxed to the wrong number (despair!!!), so I sent everything again
-On January 24th status changed to “card is being produced”
Again, the expedite request was never tracked or updated through USCIS website, so no idea if that did the trick (but might as well have, because according to Visa Journey they are just starting July).
Hope this helps!
Also, I learned my lesson: next time I’ll file 6 months before card expiration (I had filed with 3 months thinking that was enough, but I was SO STRESSED OUT because I was on the verge of losing my work authorization even with the 180 days extension).
Happy to answer any questions!
