bass whattMay 9, 2024
why would you wanna do that?
Mel WMay 9, 2024
I’m getting a divorce and so a combo interview on the basis on the 3 year will not happen. I’m waiting for the divorce decree to see what to do next. @bass whatt

when did you apply for the N-400
Quagmire .May 9, 2024
Leave it. go to the interview alone and tell them your partner has made the unilateral decision to leave the marriage. you’ll be good

@Quagmire . Bad advice. Poster needs to withdraw the case before it gets to interview. Then submit his divorce decree and a letter requesting that his I-751 be converted to a solo case.

I know two people who have been through similar situations!
Rocco FortéMay 9, 2024
@Quagmire . What if they go ahead to approve his I-751 before the N-400 interview? or don’t know that happens?
Mel WMay 11, 2024
@Malik Z I applied like 3 months ago… we just started divorce proceedings.
Rocco FortéMay 11, 2024
@Mel W Write a letter to inform them that your marriage is ending and attach documents showing that your divorce is in progress. Ask that your I-751 be converted to a waiver. Also request that your N-400 be withdrawn.
