that's too soon to get IL. Anyway depends on how fast your Embassy is

The US embassy is based in Fiji.. I hope it doesn’t take much time as compared to other bigger countries like India..

my husband got DQ November 3rd and we still haven’t gotten the interview letter yet. we are still waiting. embassy is in Serbia.

@Martins Chima how can I find out how fast my embassy is, I can’t find that info anywhere

@L C I know.. It’s pretty frustrating that NVC isn’t giving us an estimated time about when to expect the Interview letter/ email.. I hope we get to hear the good news next month since this month is about to end..

@Ameesha Nand hello, nvc sent me a letter telling me to wait until they send a letter for an interview. They told me this on September 5th. I’m still waiting and they said it could take up to 90 days. do you know what I have to do or what the problem is?

@Ameesha Nand On the visa bulletin it shows a priority date, does it have anything to do with an immagrant visa interview date or no? cause a lot of people have said it has to do with the green card and some say with your interview date. pls help im so confused

I DQed 16th/12/2022 of ir5 at Nairobi Kenya & I haven't received the IL

@Sarmen Sahakian Hi, as far as I know, the priority date isn’t applicable for people who have applied for spousal visa whereby their spouses are the citizen of U.S. However, those whose spouses are permanent residents have to wait for their priority date to become current in order to get their interview letter I think.. I hope this helps..

It does say on google that it takes around 3 months minimum for NVC to schedule an interview however it totally depends on the workload of the embassy present in your country

@Ameesha Nand by reading other people’s posts, I’ve seen a lot of people say that it’s taking 1-2 months. if that’s true, we could receive the letter within the next few days since it’s already November 27th. I hope it happens, but if it doesn’t, we won’t be waiting much longer. maybe at least a month more.

@L C I really hope so.. I think we might receive our interview letter by December or January..Let’s keep our fingers crossed.. Please do let me know if you hear something from your side..

Mine is a family based green card. my i130 has already been approved and I’ve gotten a email form the nvc not the leave anywhere and that they will email me once they’ve gotten a date ready. It’s been near 2 months and more than a half and I just wanted to ask for your opinion if you know how much longer it may take. I applied on February of 2021 and I’ve received the email regarding nvc on September 7 2023. anything could help. sorry to bother you. I just wanna know if you have any estimates what’s so ever on how much longer it may take. many thanks.🙏🏻

@Sarmen Sahakian Hi.. just wanted to know that when you say it’s family based, it’s the spousal visa or the family preference one ? Also is your petitioner a citizen of USA or a permanent resident? I’m asking this because all these matters as to when you can expect to receive your interview date..

@Sarmen Sahakian Since it’s family preference one then unfortunately you need to wait for the priority date.. once it becomes current then they are going to send you the interview letter…

@A N Hi, my priority date is 14th of February 2022, it was current a few months ago but now it’s on 2019 if I’m not mistaken. so I have to wait until it’s current and then I should expect my interview letter? and if you don’t mind me asking , where do you get your information from?
