Did you file AOS (I-485) as well because that’s the quickest way to get an EAD under category C09. VAWA will take about 3yrs+ to get one and only after the case is approved.

@RoRaz, yes I filled I-485 with I-360. currently my I-765 is still active till Feb 2025. so when can get new EAD base on I-360 ? since I got prima facia in Jan 2024.

c31 = 2 years card c09 = 5 years card

@AbS Rock you only get the C31 at the end of your VAWA case which 37.5 months right now. However since you have one coming in about 6-9 months from when you filed your I-485 , you will be ok.Like king king said it will be valid for 5yrs. Just make sure you have one filed under category C09.

Hello @king king @Ro Raz. we can only apply C09 before 6 month of expiring I-765 ? my I-765 expires in February 2025 so I can eligible to file C09 extension for 5 years in July 2024 ? or I can files earlier ? I work for healthcare. can I expedite anything ?

@AbS Rock Generally, USCIS does not recommend renewing more than six months ahead of the expiration date. It's important to note that your work permit may remain valid even if your current card expires before you finish the renewal process. renew receipt enables you work for 90 days while awaiting approval of replacement EAD 😁😁😁 but my last C09 I file it 7 month before, I get new , 1 month after old one expire... but now I don't need to renew anymore 😁: once your vawa is approved, it just takes 6 to 14 months to get your green card
