if you’ve told friends or family, you can still have them write letters about what you’ve told them, they can relay your stress and psychological state from the abuse and not have necessarily had to see it in person. they can also write about your good and moral character and knowledge of the marriage. you need your marriage certificate to prove a legally filed marriage on record. also you’ll need a criminal record check from all places you’ve lived in the past 3 or 5 years (makes sure to look up if it’s 3 or 5 as you shouldn’t risk making mistakes, do not leave it to USCIS to request for more evidence)

@oh Canada l can try to find one person more ,l just have one person for the moment ,my lawyer says that with two are ok .

l have the testimony of my niece ,but she don’t live over here ,she never being in USA also ,but she has heared by the phone how my wife treated me ,l don’t know if l can tell her make and a letter and sent me to me ,but she don’t live in this country .

@Magic Magic two letter is better and get them to notorized them. maybe if u had a letter from your pastor also. but what u have is good so far. a police report would have been good if u had one. but I think what u have so far is great evidence..

@Magic Magic no, not police report about you...just one if you've ever involved the cops at all during the abuse. Most of what you stated you have shows proof of legitimate marriage and not proof of abuse which is what you need to prove most. The medical letters are good if you've been seeing a therapist throughout but make sure your witnesses can give compelling statements. If all your niece heard is her talking crap over the phone, then that's not good enough. That could just make her a bad wife, and not an abusive one. There is a distinction, and I learned that from my lawyer while constructing my personal statement. If you talked to anyone about the abuse and they know firsthand, that's the best witness to have.

@Kerry S thanks for explaining to @Magic Magic . I myself had to call the cops twice on my abuser and those police report was sent along with my packet. one he hit me and kicked me. all while I was pregnant the woman police officer brought me in the bathroom at the precinct and took pictures herself . sent those in. that's good evidence
